With the rapid development of the license plate manufacturing industry,the embossing link of license plate production is eager to achieve a leap from hand-made to automated machine production.Embossing refers to punching blank license plates with yin and yang fonts,leaving raised characters,but due to the difference in license plate numbers,the arrangement and combination of fonts is ever-changing.In response to this problem,this paper introduces a font library and a font box as a method for selecting fonts and splicing characters.According to this method and the automation requirements for license plate imprinting,the mechanical body structure of the license plate indenter is studied,and the technological process of license plate indentation is analyzed to The industrial computer and PLC designed the hardware and software of the control system of the license plate indenter for the control core,and used machine vision technology to test the new license plates produced.The specific work content is as follows:1.Structural composition and technological process analysis of license plate indenter.The overall mechanical structure of the license plate indenter is introduced.The working principle and structure of the three components of feeding,stamping,and pattern library are analyzed.Combined with the analysis of the indenting process,the overall control process is designed.According to the special law of the character arrangement of the license plate,the swing mode and the way of taking the die of the font library are optimized,and the design scheme of alternate stamping of the double font library is proposed.2.The hardware design of the control system of license plate indenter.The overall plan of the control system is designed,and the composition of the system hardware is determined.Combined with actual working conditions and control requirements,the design of the control system hardware was selected.The electrical circuit is designed,including: main circuit,PLC control circuit,servo system circuit,pneumatic system circuit.3.Software design of the control system of the license plate indenter.Establish an overall software framework and divide the software into different program modules.The software program of the host computer is built around five aspects: data calculation,information storage,interactive communication,parameter setting,and status monitoring;the PLC program is divided into four modules: manual,automatic,parameter,and communication;the touch screen control program is responsible for device debugging and monitoring.4.Design of visual inspection system for license plate indenter.Introduced the national standards for automobile license plates,and analyzed the possible defects of new license plates.Using machine vision technology,a visual inspection system is designed for license plate number recognition and character position detection.After the inspection result of the license plate number recognition is correct,then check whether the character position information is consistent with the standard license plate.If it does not conform,the cause of the defect can be analyzed based on the detection result,and the license plate indenter can be corrected in time.5.Experimental research on license plate indenter.The experimental platform of the license plate indenter was built and debugged.On this basis,the performance test experiments of the control system and the detection system were carried out.The experimental results show that the design scheme of the control system and detection system of the license plate indenter proposed in this paper is feasible and effective,and can realize unmanned,safe and intelligent license plate manufacturing,which is beneficial to shorten the license plate issuance time and improve the efficiency of government It is also conducive to ensuring the safe production of license plates.The research results can provide technical reference for the design of the control system of the new automatic license plate indenter.
