The HXN3 Plateau locomotive is a transition type Plateau locomotive specially designed for the qinghai-tibet railway.It is based on the same main frame structure and main parameters of the HXN3 diesel locomotive,in view of the Plateau area special geographical environment and the application condition has carried on the adaptability improvement.HXN3 plateau locomotive designed the only main generator excitation system,and the main generator excitation chopper installed in the HXN3 plateau locomotive has a high failure rate,the problems such as the unstable excitation current of the main generator and the abnormal voltage detection of the auxiliary generator cause the locomotive to be unable to operate reliably.Therefore,the fault causes of this type of excitation chopper are studied,it is imperative to explore the improvement of product reliability and the substitution of new products.Based on the HXN3 Plateau Locomotive Project,this paper briefly introduces the general situation of qinghai-tibet railway and the whole locomotive and electric system of HXN3 plateau locomotive.Then,the fault of main generator excitation chopper is analyzed,and the main function and working principle of main generator excitation chopper are introduced in detail.Combining the field operation of the main generator excitation chopper and the actual disassembling and repairing work of the main generator excitation chopper,the problem focus points are sorted out,the scheme of improving the reliability of the main generator excitation chopper is put forward,which effectively improves the overhaul efficiency and operation stability of the product.Finally,on the premise that the main excitation chopper can be maintained and repaired,an optimized design scheme of excitation chopper is proposed to provide technical support for the independent production of excitation chopper. |
