Abstract/Summary:
As an important hydraulic structure in coastal engineering,the simple armoured slope breakwaters play a vital role in protecting the port and berth safety.Overtopping is an important cause of the damage of simple armoured slope breakwaters.Therefore,it is very important to estimate and analyze the factors reasonably that affect overtopping of simple armoured slope breakwaters.In this paper,the estimation of overtopping and its influencing factors are studied.Firstly,this paper sorted out the database of the common single slope breakwaters overtopping.After that,based on the neural network algorithm and the average method combination strategy of integrated learning,a comprehensive prediction model is established.Ten main factors,such as wave elements and breakwater structure parameters,are selected as input parameters,and the mean overtopping is taken as output parameters.Finally,based on the MIV evaluation algorithm,the weights of the input parameters are evaluated and analyzed.The research in this paper shows that the error between estimated by prediction model and the measured value of the physical model test is within the range of 10 times.Compared with the Chinese standard formula and the European Van der meer’s formula.The comparison results show that the model is not only convenient and fast to estimate,but also has a wider range of application and higher estimation accuracy.After the evaluation,the ten main influencing factors can be divided into positive and negative correlation factors.The positive correlation factors in order of influence are: significant wave height at the structure toe,average wave period at the structure toe,water depth at the structure toe,roughness factor and toe width.The negative correlation factors in order of influence are: cotangent of the angle that the structure makes with a horizontal,crest height with respect to static water level and wall height with respect to static water level,crest width and toe submergence.The above conclusions provide a reference for controlling the wave elements and the structure parameters of the breakwater to effectively control the overtopping.
