Research On The Performance Evaluation Of Household Appliance Listed Enterprises Based On Data Envelopment Analysis

With the emergence and development of modern enterprise management system,the equity owners and managers are separated,and the evaluation of business performance becomes more and more important for enterprise management.Performance evaluation can accurately measure the comprehensive quality level of business operators,help enterprise management to choose the appropriate business strategy and provide reference for investors and other stakeholders to make investment decisions.With the development of economy,home appliance industry has become the pillar of China’s private economy.With the continuous extension of the scope of globalization in recent years,the increasingly fierce competition for the consumer market among enterprises in various countries,the frequent international trade friction,the gradual maturity of domestic Internet sales model,as well as the substantial increase in the cost of various human and material resources,the development of China’s home appliance industry has encountered unprecedented challenges.In the face of fierce market competition,large inventory overstock and new technology r&d barriers,in order to survive and achieve long-term development,home appliance enterprises must find their own advantages and disadvantages through business performance evaluation as soon as possible,and make corresponding strategies to improve their competitiveness.Therefore,the evaluation of the production and operation performance of household appliances industry has far-reaching significance for the healthy development of enterprises and the macro-control of the economy by the government.This paper classifies and summarizes foreign scholars’ research and practice process of performance evaluation method,and briefly introduces domestic scholars’ research literature using DEA model respectively.On this basis,the advantages and disadvantages of several commonly used performance evaluation methods are summarized and the unique advantages of DEA method in the field of performance evaluation are emphasized.Based on the empirical phase,assessment process by DEA method,first,clear the principle of index selection,determine the input and output indicators of need,collected 26 appliance enterprises in China from 2015-2018,the relevant index data,then the correlation analysis of all relevant data to ensure the validity of the evaluation results,then use the DEAP2.1 version of the software to analyze the data.The calculation process is divided into three steps.The first step is to calculate the total efficiency,pure technical efficiency and scale efficiency of all sample enterprises within four years.The second step is to calculate the relevant efficiency values of all sample enterprises in 2018.The third step is to use the Malmquist index to analyze the dynamic change trend of the efficiency of the sample enterprises over the four-year period,and to refine and decompose the analysis results to obtain more accurate change trend information.Finally,through all the empirical process tests,find out the limitations of DEA model in the application process,and combined with the software measurement results,the factors affecting the performance level of household appliance enterprises are found to help to put forward countermeasures for operation and management.
