The continuous improvement of social production level has put forward new requirements for the development of smart grids. Its stable, reliable, flexible and efficient network architecture system is inseparable from the construction of communication networks. With the further advancement of hybrid networking in the power system, the hybrid communication method combining wireless communication and power line communication has broad research and application prospects. Most of the existing researches focus on the realization of the physical layer, and rarely involve the MAC layer mechanism when the two are mixed. This paper proposes an improved CSMA(carrier sense multiple access)algorithm suitable for powerline and wireless hybrid networking scenarios. This algorithm is compatible with the existing standards CSMA algorithm in IEEE1901 and IEEE802.11.It can enable the power line and various stations under the wireless hybrid network to communicate in parallel. That is,one station has both a wireless interface and a power line interface and can realize the simultaneous reception and transmission of data frames with dual interfaces. The paper studies each backoff state space that a site may be in and makes a lot of theoretical derivations. It gives the transmission probability in each state space and can get the throughput and reliability of the algorithm. At the same time, the paper makes a unique proof of the proposed algorithm to ensure the correctness and rationality of the algorithm and gives a detailed proof process.Based on the decoupling assumption, the paper establishes a back-off performance analysis model for power line-wireless parallel communication. On this basis, the paper further introduces the p-persistent algorithm into the model and analyzes the performance indicators of the algorithm after adding the p-persistent mechanism. The results show that with the introduction of p-persistent,the model’s throughput, reliability and other performance indicators have been further improved. In addition, the paper also focuses on the delay performance of the proposed model and gives simulation verification and analysis. At the same time, the paper explores the optimal throughput of the model, makes detailed theoretical derivations, and gives a quantitative formula. The results show that the optimal throughput of the power line-wireless parallel communication system model proposed in this paper is related to the values of the delay counter and the contention window.Subsequently,we verified the effectiveness and reliability of the model through simulation and analyzed the performance of the algorithm model such as throughput and collision probability. At the same time, the factors affecting the performance index of the algorithm were also discussed. Finally, this article summarizes the proposed model and discusses the work that needs to be done next.
