| In the process of rapid global urbanization, rational and efficient use of urban underground space has become a trend. However, urban underground space has a certain degree of health and safety risks that cannot be ignored, which affects the public’s willingness to accept and respond to urban underground space risks, and even triggers social conflicts. In the process of developing urban underground space, the public’s risk acceptability should be regarded as an important risk monitoring object.Therefore,in-depth exploration of the public’s acceptability of urban underground space risks is of positive significance. This paper combines the paradigm of psychological cognition and the characteristics of urban underground space, starting from the concept and connotation of urban underground space risk acceptability, and through a large number of literature surveys and questionnaire surveys,a theoretical model of the elements of risk acceptability is established;here Based on the development of urban underground space risk acceptability measurement tools;subsequently, based on survey data, conducted empirical research on the actual level of urban underground space risk acceptability, and revised the theoretical model of risk acceptability components; Finally,a targeted improvement strategy for the public’s acceptability of urban underground space risks is proposed. The main research contents and results are as follows:(1)Defined the concept and connotation of the acceptability of urban underground space risks, and constructed a theoretical model of the acceptability of urban underground space risks.(2)Developed a measurement scale for the acceptability of urban underground space risks. The scale contains 14 items, divided into four dimensions, namely, interest perception, fairness and trust, public participation, and technology acceptance.(3)Conducted an empirical study on the acceptability of urban underground space risks. The study found that compared with women, men show higher acceptance in all dimensions except public participation;the two demographic characteristics of education level and working or living time in urban underground space are only related to the risk of urban underground space. Some dimensions of acceptance are related;age and type of residence have no significant relationship with the acceptability of urban underground space risk and its constituent elements;empirical analysis shows that the average value of the benefit perception dimension is the highest, followed by public participation and Fair trust, the lowest average value of technology acceptance.(4)Targeted guidance strategies such as improving public interest perception, enhancing government credibility, promoting public participation, and enhancing public technology acceptance have provided reference for decision-making in urban underground space development. The results of this study can provide a reference for relevant departments to qualitatively and quantitatively grasp the public’s acceptability of urban underground space risks, and are of great significance to the decision-making and planning of urban underground space development and utilization. |
