Due to Xinjiang’s special climate and geographical environment,the semi-rigid base asphalt pavement has many diseases,the most common ones are cracks.Among them,reflective cracks are generated inside the pavement structure,which can easily cause structural damage to the pavement and reduce the road surface.Use performance.Therefore,through the analysis of domestic and foreign research on the application of geotextiles in highway engineering,the research on the application effect of the new anti-cracking base fabric in Xinjiang highway maintenance projects is carried out,and the effect of the new anti-cracking base fabric in anti-reflective cracking in the maintenance projects is actually tested.Through the finite element software ABAQUS,the influence of new anti-crack base cloth on pavement structure under different elastic modulus is analyzed,and the typical pavement structure in Xinjiang is modeled,the tensile stress distribution at the bottom of pavement layer in pavement structure model with and without anti-crack base cloth is analyzed,and the ability of the new anti-crack base cloth to disperse its stress is studied.The results of simulation analysis show that the anti crack base cloth can better disperse the bottom tensile stress and prevent the stress concentration,and the ability of the two grade highway to disperse stress is more prominent.Secondly,the physical parameters test,alkali and freeze resistance test,tensile deformation test,CBR breaking strength test and trapezoidal tear strength test of the new anti-crack base cloth are carried out to evaluate the physical properties and mechanical properties of the new anti-crack base cloth.The fatigue cracking test of specimens with or without anti-cracking base cloth,MTS fatigue contrast test and field full-scale test are carried out in the laboratory to check the fatigue resistance and anti-cracking effect of the new anti-cracking base cloth under the test.The indoor and outdoor test results show that the anti-crack base cloth has good physical and mechanical properties both in the indoor and outdoor tests,and can effectively mitigate the generation of reflective cracks.Finally,the pavement performance of asphalt pavement with or without new anti-crack base cloth is evaluated by comparing and analyzing the crack rate,pavement breakage,smoothness and rut data of the new anti-crack base cloth section and the unused section in Xinjiang semi-rigid base asphalt pavement maintenance project.The shear resistance test is carried out on core samples drilled from asphalt pavement using new anti-crack base cloth to verify the shear resistance of new anti-crack base cloth and the interlayer bonding effect of asphalt pavement.Comprehensive evaluation test and test results show that the new anti-crack base cloth can effectively delay the generation of reflective cracks and reduce the number of reflective cracks on the road surface.The above analysis results show that the application of the new anti-cracking base fabric in Xinjiang road maintenance projects can effectively alleviate the generation of reflection cracks,ensure the stability of the base structure,and extend the service life of the road.
