Compared with the traditional steering system of automobile,the steer-by-wire system has higher performance with steering portability,comfort,safety,maneuverability and stability at the same time,with the intelligent and electronic automobile system development process,it is bound to replace the traditional mechanical steering system.This paper focuses on the steering feeling simulation and fault tolerant control of steer-by-wire system.Firstly,the characteristics of variable Angle transmission ratio of steer-by-wire system are studied.The constant steering sensitivity and speed changes transmission ratio is analyzed and studied,combined with the structure and working principle of single motor steering-by-wire system,the dynamic model and vehicle model of steer-by-wire system were established by Carsim/Simulink.Secondly,the steering feeling simulation strategy of steer-by-wire system is studied.The advantages and disadvantages of sensor measurement,dynamic model estimation and parameter fitting are compared,consideration is given to the"human-automobile-road" closed-loop system and the interrelationship of various links and driver preference,road information,a new steering feeling simulation control algorithm(weight method)is proposed.The simulation results show that the algorithm takes into both the portability of steering and the driver’s access to road information.Then,in order to detect steering motor fault,the model of permanent magnet synchronous motor was established by Simulink,the parameters of steering motor are identified in real time according to the extended Kalman filter,Setting thresholds.The simulation results show that the proposed method can detect the fault of the steering motor in real time and enhance the safety of the steer-by-wire system.Finally,in order to avoid dangerous working caused by sensor failure and driver’s misoperation of the steer-by-wire system,improve fault tolerance of steer-by-wire system,multi-sensor information fusion algorithm is used to estimate the automobile steering information and the error between the estimation information and the sensor measurement information is monitored in real time,when the error exceeds the threshold range,the estimate is used instead of the sensor measurement,on this account to prevent the missing of key parameters caused by sensor failure during vehicle running.In addition according to the steering information and based on theω-β strategy and β-β strategy to filter the driver’s wrong operation.The simulation results show that the algorithm can detect the fault of the sensor,fault tolerant to steering system,filter the driver’s wrong operation,and improve the safety of the steering system.Figure[66]table[7]reference[82]...
