| In 2020,a sudden COVID-19 outbreak broke out around the world.In order to effectively control COVID-19,almost all countries and regions in the world have taken various measures to reduce the gathering of people and control the flow of people,which has directly led to the sharp reduction of travel and business activities.As a global industry,the civil aviation industry bears the brunt.The COVID-19 has a more direct and far-reaching impact on the global civil aviation industry.Falling load factor,sharp decline in revenue and cash flow difficulties are common problems faced by airlines.How to tide over the economic "cold winter",is the major airlines must face the reality of the problem.This article selects the China southern airlines co.,LTD.(hereinafter referred to as China southern airlines)as the research object,not only for China southern airlines in four major domestic airlines is China’s largest transport aircraft carriers,and is the most developed route network carriers,the largest airline in the passenger traffic volume,as well as security in China’s civil aviation flight remains the best safety record.It is the safest domestic airline in China.China Southern Airlines adopts the network full service profit model,which is special and representative among domestic airlines.In this paper,quantitative,comparative and other analysis methods,and the use of differentiation,cost leadership and other theories,based on the network full-service profit model of China Southern Airlines,to study its profit model and financial performance under the COVID-19.Through the in-depth study of these two aspects,the aim is to dig out the effective experience and practices of China Southern Airlines in the process of coping with COVID-19,find out the problems and deficiencies that need to be improved in the process of coping with COVID-19,and make corresponding evaluation of its response measures and put forward reasonable opinions and suggestions.This is not only helpful for China Southern Airlines to improve its profit model and financial performance in actual operation,but also of important reference value for other airlines to survive the epidemic smoothly and further optimize and adjust their profit model and improve their profitability in the future development process.At the same time,it is also hoped that through the study of this paper,China’s civil aviation industry and even the transportation industry,in the adjustment of profit model and improve financial performance play a certain reference role. |
