In the construction of modern cities,people devote more experience to the friendly development of the ecological environment and the rational use of space resources,so the application of power cables is more and more widespread.However,in the process of cable operation,it is inevitable that the cable failure rate will gradually increase due to various problems.Quickly discovering cable faults and accurately locating them is an important guarantee for cable safety,reliability,and smooth operation.The background noise in the actual sampled fault signal will seriously affect the accuracy of fault location.How to filter the detected fault signal in a complex noise interference environment is the key technology to improve the accuracy of power cable fault location.Therefore,this paper proposes EEMD and wavelet Improved algorithm combining transformations.First of all,this paper introduces the basic theory of cable fault detection technology in view of the background and status quo of domestic and foreign fault location technology.It mainly analyzes the causes of faults,common fault types and several traditional cable fault location methods,and introduces the traveling wave location theory used in this article in detail.Secondly,wavelet transform and EEMD decomposition have unique advantages in signal time-frequency domain analysis and processing.This paper proposes a traveling wave ranging method based on the combination of EEMD and wavelet transform.First,perform ensemble empirical mode decomposition of the initial signal,then use wavelet transform to filter out the useful signal from the dominant component of noise,and finally the useful signal is reconstructed with the main component of useful signal,so as to greatly decrease the error between reconstructed signal and the fault detection signal,improving the filtering effect.More accurately extract the transmission time difference between the transmitted wave and the reflected wave to the detection point,determine the specific location of the fault according to the traveling wave ranging formula,and increase the accuracy of cable fault distance detection.Finally,based on the actual operation of the power grid,MATLAB/SIMULINK is used to build a simulation model of the transmission line under different fault conditions,and the signal characteristics of different cable faults are analyzed.Wavelet filtering,EEMD decomposition,and improved algorithms are used to filter and locate the extracted fault current signals.The simulation results indicate the method of this research can not only enhance the dependability of location but also the accuracy of fault point measurement,which provides a certain theoretical reference value for actual cable fault location.Figure 45 table 4 reference 90...
