As a type of public buildings with a large number, large construction area and frequent use, office buildings are inseparable from everyone in the society. With the popularization of 75% energy efficiency standards, the research direction of office building energy efficiency attracting more and more scholars’ attention.Taking an office building in a hot summer and cold winter climate zone as an example, this article studies the specific impact of the composite skin on the Energy Use Intensity(EUI)of the office building and simulates the energy consumption of a proposed office building through a parametric method combined with multi-objective optimization. The effect and change mode of the composite skin are summarized, which provides a certain reference value for the energy saving and composite skin design of office buildings.Starting from the climatic characteristics of hot summer and cold winter areas, this article selects nine cities with higher population density in hot summer and cold winter areas, statistics their meteorological data and summarizes the climatic characteristics of hot summer and cold winter areas, combined with office building plan and the design form of the skin and the actual research results suggest that the skin has positive significance for office buildings in areas with hot summers and cold winters.Subsequently, the article conducted an in-depth study of the skins, combed the development history of the skins, proposed the inevitability of the development of the composite skins on the basis of summarizing the functions of the skins, and divided the composite skins into fixed skins and dynamic skins according to the variability. In the discussion of composite skin energy saving, the article first disassembles and analyzes the energy consumption of office buildings according to the heat and cold load, and then proposes office building performance evaluation standards and the way the skin affects the building performance.Together with the skin and renewable energy,it constitutes the theoretical basis for energy saving of composite skin.On this basis, the article proposes a design strategy for composite skin of office buildings in hot summer and cold winter areas, and analyzes four aspects of composite form, material selection, geometric system design and motion system design.Comprehensive skin energy-saving theory and design strategy, the article uses a proposed office building as a case to simulate the energy consumption before and after adding the composite skin.According to the optimization method from static to dynamic, the composite skin size and control strategy are determined. The results show that when the composite skin is added, the skin can reduce the EUI by 19.8%,and the dynamic control design of the composite skin can reduce the EUI by 22%.
