| With the continuous development of economic society as well as the arrival of the fourth industrial revolution,the knowledge production model oriented by application requirements has become an important trend of engineering innovation and development.One of the concrete results in the talent training is the increasing enrollment scale of Master of Engineering and the more importance put on the practical ability of Master of Engineering.How to truly improve the practical ability of Master of Engineering is not only an issue closely concerned by universities,but also by the whole society.Therefore,it is of practical significance to do a research on the cultivation of practical ability of Master of Engineering at home and abroad,by which strategies and suggestions can be put forward reasonably to improve the training mode of the practical ability of Master of Engineering in domestic universities.This thesis takes the cultivation of the practical ability of full-time Master of engineering as the research object on the basis of the Quadruple Helix theory(government,enterprise,university,social organization),the "PDCA"(plan,do,check,act)theory and the Systematic theory,with the literature analysis and comparative study as the research method.Firstly,it analyzes and compares the cultivation of the practical ability of full-time Master of Chemical Engineering in five universities at home and abroad in line with the following four aspects:cultivation objectives,cultivation process,external collaboration and support conditions and evaluation and supervision.The conclusions of this paper are as follows:firstly,through the comparison,it finds that the graduate education of Master of Engineering in both domestic and overseas universities clarifies the importance of the practical ability in this four dimension:cultivation objectives,cultivation process,external collaboration and support conditions and evaluation and supervision.Each university has its own advantages worth learning in different dimensions,such as modular practice curriculum setting,project-centered teaching mode,regional collaborative innovation driven by universities,in-depth university-enterprise cooperation and strengthening international cooperation,etc.;secondly,through the empirical research,it discovers that the overall reverberation of the practical ability training of full-time Master of Engineering in University E is satisfying,but there are still some deficiencies,such as ambiguous orientation of the cultivation objective,unclear responsibilities of the dual tutorial system,low utilization rate of practice base,the divorcement between assessment and professional practice,and neglect of functions of social organizations;finally,based on the above investigation and analysis as well as the relevant theoretical applied,this paper puts forward the following suggestions for the practical ability cultivation of Master of engineering:firstly,the government should clarify the legal status of the engineering master and improve the degree quality evaluation and supervision mechanism,besides,it should encourage the organization of multi-level exchange activities;secondly,the college should complete the engineering master’s training program,improve the interdisciplinary of the curriculum,and build "two teachers in the same classroom" teaching mode,constructing a practical teaching system that combines virtual and reality,and establishing a "teaching" system to improve peer learning effects;thirdly,companies should strengthen the evaluation reliability of practical effects,to provide support for modular courses made by colleges,and build a networked system which aimed to offer the professional practical teaching and management assessment,then it should fully play the guiding role of off-campus tutors;finally,social organizations should give full play to their role in the professional degree education steering committee,and perfect the problem evaluation and feedback mechanism. |
