With the integration of Flow Measurement Technology and Internet Technology,the intelligent water flow meter becomes the inevitable trend in near future.Ultrasonic water flow meter is gradually used in industrial production because of its wide measuring range,low pressure loss,low power consumption and etc.Besides,its error characteristic curve can be easily corrected,so it is a more appropriate choice for the next generation of the intelligent water flow meter.However,ultrasonic water meter with large pipeline is extremely vulnerable to external disturbance.What’s more,their stabilities need to improve.In view of the above problems,this paper makes a deep research on the double-channel ultrasonic water flow meter based on time difference method.First of all,this paper designs reducing pipes,and calculates the flow improvement of these models by the fluid continuity equation.Secondly,the flow field of the reducing pipes at low flow rate is studied by CFD numerical simulation.The reducing pipes is analyzed by some parameters,such as loss of pressure,flow coefficient and the uniformity of the fluid particle.Finally,the pipeline models are verified on the water flowmeter surveying device.Secondly,the prototype of ultrasonic water meter with double-channel is designed by the idea of low-power consumption and modularization.On the hardware,the echo signal processing module is designed for improving the signal-noise ratio.The ultrasonic transducer is driven by the low voltage signal,which can reduce the system power consumption.The test efficiency is effectively improved by the pulse transmitting module.On the software,a multi-sensor fusion algorithm is designed.With the correlation,estimation and combination of the measurement of ultrasonic transducers,the method gives a small weight to the faulty transducer and obtain a reliable weighted fusion equation.The results show that the method can improve the accuracy and reliability of the ultrasonic water flow meter.At last,the experiment of the prototype of the double-channel ultrasonic water flowmeter is carried out including temperature experiment,flow experiment,repeatability test and power consumption test.The results.The results show that the prototype meets the expected requirements.
