Abstract/Summary:
Because of its advantages of high flexibility and low cost,Unmanned Aerial Vehicles(UAVs)are widely used in both civilian and military fields.By using cooperative communication and relay technologies,a swarm of UAVs can be conveniently deployed and work cooperatively to enlarge coverage and relay data for environment monitoring and emergency communication scenarios.However,high mobility of UAVs brings new challenges to guarantee robust and efficient routing within a dynamically-changing UAV Network topology.Therefore,this thesis focuses on the research of efficient routing algorithm for UAV swarm network.The main contributions of this thesis are as follows:1)Aiming at the problem that frequent changes of UAV network topology bring challenges to effective routing optimization,and low latency service requirements in a particular scenario.This paper proposes an efficient layered UAV swarm network architecture.Furthermore,a low latency routing algorithm(LLRA)is designed based on the partial location information and the connectivity of the network architecture.Finally,the performance of the proposed LLRA is verified by numerical results,which can decrease the link average delay and improve the packet delivery ratio in contrast to traditional routing algorithms without layered architecture.2)Aiming at the problem that high mobility of UAVs brings new challenges to guarantee robust and efficient routing within a dynamic changing UAV Network topology,and high stability of service requirements in a particular scenario.This paper proposes a mobility prediction based virtual routing(MPVR)algorithm to enhance the performances of connectivity and routing lifetime among cooperative UAVs.The probability density function of UAV movement is theoretically achieved using the Gaussian distribution model.The optimal virtual routing model is designed to select the optimal relay node with the minimum distance between UAVs.Finally,the performance of the proposed MPVR is verified by numerical results,which can improve the average routing lifetime,average link delay,and average packet delivery ratio compared to existing algorithms.
