Plug-and-play Automatic Identification Technology For Smart Home Based On Electric Power

In recent years,smart home has been rapidly developed abroad,an increasing number of them has occurred in our daily life,while problems come up together with the rapid development of smart home,including the incompatible between the different communication protocols of different smart home brands;Unable of long distant interconnection between intelligent equipment;Traditional household appliances cannot be well integrated with intelligent networks,etc.The power carrier plug and play communication method can provide a solution to these problems.Power line carrier communication refers to taking the electric wires as the transmission media of carrier signals.The advantage of this communication method is the individual equipment in the places where electric wires pass can be linked to each other without the utilization of additional communication media or equipment.The employment of plug and play method can omit the step of network configuration,promising simpler procedure for smart home to access the network.In general,the development of smart home plug and play system based on the power line carrier will have great advantages in the future and will definitely have a place in the future market.This paper first defines a communication protocol promising the realization of plug-and-play type electric power carrier.For verifying the availability of the protocol,a physical and simulation half and half experimental platform is built,the physical part is the communication interface card with user defined protocol,and stimulates household equipment,the simulation platform is the Lab VIEW software supporting PXI controller,with the designed system model of human-computer interaction interface.Finally,through the simulation,the information of the communication board card can be transmitted to the PC of the upper computer.The PC of the upper computer can control the function of the communication interface card to access and cut out.The experiment proves that the automatic plug and play identification technology based on power carrier can be realized,and is hopeful to be better developed and utilized in the future.
