Research On The Construction Strategies Of Bai Dwellings Based On Climate Suitability

The Dali Bai nationality has a long history and profound cultural deposits.Under the baptism of the long strench of history,a set of traditional dwellings forms which are rich in Bai cultural characteristics and suitable for the local climate environment have gradually created.As China pays more attention to the protection of material cultural heritage,a growing number of scholars have done a lot of studies on the cultural characteristics,architectural craftsmanship,protection strategies and other aspects of Dali Bai traditional dwellings,however,there is still a lack of research on the construction strategies of Dali Bai dwellings on the basis of climate suitability.With the flourish development of the tourism industry around the Erhai Lake region,the demand for homestays is increasing,a large number of new Bai dwellings have sprung up.But the construction of new dwellings lacks scientific guidance,and mainly relies on the folk experience handed down.The new dwellings simply inherit the style of traditional dwellings and ignore the its contained construction strategies on climatic suitability,that causes indoor microclimate environment is poor,livability is not high,and building energy consumption increases.Therefore,it is extremely urgent to explore the construction strategies on climatic suitability that contained in traditional dwellings,and do the research which can provide guidance for the sustainable development of new dwellings.In this article,the Bai dwellings around the Erhai Lake region were taken as the research object.First of all,analyzed the enthalpy wet figure of meteorological data in Dali area,to initially determine the passive promotion strategy taht is suitable for the local climate environment.Next,by means of field research,analyzed the similarities and differences between the traditional dwellings and new dwellings of Bai people in Dali on some aspects such as single building,courtyard space and detail structure,qualitatively summarized the construction strategy on climatic suitability contained in traditional dwellings.Finally,started from the development status of dwellings,compared and analyzed the indoor thermal environment,light environment and wind environment of traditional and new Bai dwellings through computer simulation,and the advantages and disadvantages of the traditional and new Bai dwellings in terms of climate suitability were extracted,as well as aimed at the deficiencies of indoor comfort level of the new Bai dwellings,a passive improvement strategy that is suitable for climate was proposed.
