The Research Of Theory And Practices Of Christopher Alexander On Social Housing Design

In this paper,the basic literature is explained and sorted out,and some cases are combined with field research to present Alexander’s theoretical development and practical characteristics in the field of social housing.Then,under the historical perspective of continuous design method movement,it provides the source code and basic cognition for the development of social housing design methodology.The introduction explains the background,current situation and content of the research,and then the research is carried out from two aspects of theory and practice.In the aspect of theoretical research,through sorting out Alexander’s education and academic process,we can observe the field of his subject knowledge system.Behind,will be phased masterpiece,forms the comprehensive theory of NOTES ON THE SYNTHESIS OF FORM,THE TIMELESS WAY OF BUILDING,A PATTERN LANGUAGE,THE NATURE OF ORDER and its structure of development together,and then give the residential manufacturing "in the context of the overall view theory,and explains how it reflects the characteristic design method of Aristotle’s theory in the field of housing.In terms of practical research,five cases of social housing(residential planning)with the characteristics of low cost were selected to present Alexander’s creation and entity generation process from five aspects.Secondly,Quinta Monroy,the classic project of Aravena,is selected to explore its design objectives and methods.In the historical relationship mentioned by Mr.Frampton,the historical roles and differences of the two social residences at critical moments are discussed.Among the domestic research objects,the post-disaster reconstruction project of Yangliu village of Xie Yingjun was taken as a typical case to conduct field research on the object-oriented design method of Xie Yingjun and the inheritance and change of Alexander’s design method.It is found that Alexander’s theoretical development always takes natural science as the interdisciplinary research tool of architectural theory,and takes "the relationship between part and the whole" as the structural development stage of three design problems,while the ideal principle of residential production aims to realize the organic holistic view.In the aspect of practice,pay attention to pay attention to the system design and construction process management,the clear steps,and public participation,as one of the realization of the complexity of structure,compared with the marketization of social housing designers,the feasibility of design method of pattern language in public co.,LTD.,a pattern language method to decompose and restructuring both construction experience,but the decomposition is relatively easy;How to reuse and recombine them needs further research.
