| Bi-stable thin-shell structure with piezoelectric layers is a new type of spatial structure, which can be driven from the first steady state to the second steady state by piezoelectric effect, and can keep stable. This kind of structural material has the advantage of good deformability, and has wide application prospect. The structure studied in this paper is composed of two main materials, one is composite layer and the other is piezoelectric layer. The various parameters of the two materials and the geometric parameters of the structure and other factors may affect the bis-table behavior of the bi-stable thin-shell structure with piezoelectric layers. In order to analyze the influence of various factors on the bis-table behavior of the structure, this paper studies the second steady-state characteristics of the bi-stable thin-shell structure with piezoelectric layers by means of theoretical analysis and finite element simulation.1.Based on the theory and energy principle of classical laminates,a mechanical model of bi-stable thin-shell structure with piezoelectric layers is established. The analytic expression of strain energy of asymmetrical laying, symmetrical laying and anti-symmetrical laying bi-stable thin-shell structure with piezoelectric layers is deduced. And the condition that the structure has two stable states under three kinds of laying modes is deduced theoretically;2.Theory analyzing the bis-table behavior under different parameters of anti-symmetrical laying bi-stable thin-shell structure with piezoelectric layers. And through the example analysis, the second steady state condition of the structure and the influence of different parameters on the bis-table behavior are studied concretely;3.The finite element analysis model of bi-stable thin-shell structure with piezoelectric layers was established by ABAQUS software, and the transition of three kinds of laying modes from initial steady state to second steady state was simulated. And the effects of geometric parameters such as fiber volume ratio, laying angle, structure size and electric field intensity on bis-table conditions and second steady state properties are given in particularly.Studies show that asymmetrical laying and anti-symmetrical laying bi-stable thin-shell structures with piezoelectric layers have the second steady state, and it is very difficult for the symmetrical laying structure to exhibit the second steady state. And the effects of geometric parameters such as fiber volume ratio, laying angle, structure size and electric field intensity on bis-table conditions and second steady state properties are relatively obvious. The results of numerical simulation are in good agreement with theoretical derivation. |
