Buddhist culture has had a profound impact on the development of traditional Chinese culture.In the Dunhuang Mogao Grottoes known as the "Thousand Buddha Caves",countless fine murals show the rise and fall of Chinese Buddhist art over the centuries.The image of a mount is a very representative type of artistic image in Buddhist culture,and its aesthetic style has changed in various periods of history.During the Tang and the Five Dynasties,there were a huge number of Dunhuang frescoes,and the images of mounts were also unique.This article will use the image of mounts in the Dunhuang frescoes of the Tang and the Five Dynasties as the starting point,and use sampling,observation,case study,quantitative research methods to explore the artistic characteristics of the image of mounts in this period.Starting from the comparison of its modeling features and color features,it explores the evolution of various types of mount images in various periods and through the analysis and extraction of the modeling language,color language,and decorative elements of the mount image in a specific Buddhist storyline to sort out its visual The overall characteristics of language.Based on its visual language characteristics,this paper studies the application methods of the mount image in Dunhuang frescoes in the brand design of cultural and creative products in this period,and takes the actual design works as examples to illustrate the feasibility of combining traditional elements with modern design.
