With the rapid development of technology,the intelligentization of household products has become a trend.The visual form of home intelligent product affects the user’s first impression and directly affects the effectiveness of the user’s perception of product information.The profound changes in population structure and technology have brought many opportunities and challenges to the design.Some home intelligent products have not been able to adapt to the user’s ability,which has formed a certain degree of obstacles,and even "excluded" users from the scope of use.The user perception ability in inclusive design is a basic ability and the key content of inclusive design research.However,it has little research on home intelligent product design and has not formed a relatively complete and systematic design strategy.First,starting from theoretical research,sort out the development of inclusive design,and compare it with barrier-free design and universal design,derive the advantages of inclusive design,summarize the dimensions of inclusive design,emphasize the key role of user capabilities,analyze relevant models in inclusive design,taking user perception as a research perspective.Secondly,clarify the relationship between the product shape,product form,and product visual form,analyze the elements,features,and product visual form of the product form in depth,clarify the concept and characteristics of the home smart product,and from the soft and hard interface in the home smart product visual form,Simplify the characteristics of basic spatial feature recognition and perception,and explore its features.Third,explore the perceptual characteristics of the product’s visual form,and the perception barriers of the visual form of home smart products,analyze the visual form perception and constituent elements of household smart products,provide support for the perception and inclusion analysis of visual form elements of household smart products,furthermore,the issue of perceptual inclusion and perceptual barriers between the visual form of home smart products and the user’s perceptive ability is raised,it also puts forward corresponding design strategies for the problem of perceptual impairment.Finally,it summarizes the sensory stimuli to bridge the lack of sensory ability,sensory compensation to broaden the channel of sensory ability,simple layout to reduce the load of sensory ability,adapt to flexible integrated information perception situation,habit cultivation to match user perception needs,fault tolerance and error correction,optimize user perception interaction,emotion Expressed seven design strategies to enhance user perception and resonance,four innovation dimensions of sensory tolerance,sensory tolerance,perceptual tolerance,and comprehensive tolerance are proposed,and subdivide sixteen design innovation paths,the effectiveness and rationality of design strategies and innovation dimensions are verified through design practice.This study starts from the perspective of user perception and product visual form,in view of the perception obstacles between the visual form of home smart products and the user’s perception ability,an effective design strategy and innovative dimension to improve the tolerance of the visual form perception capability of household smart products are summarized further promote the breadth and depth of inclusive design research,it provides new ideas and new perspectives for inclusive design research.
