The Research On The Renewal Of Buddhist Temple In Xi’an Based On Environmental Behavior

The development of Buddhism in Xi’an is the epitome of the development of Chinese Buddhism,which plays an important role in the history of Chinese Buddhism.Up to now,there are still a large number of Buddhist relics,which witness the prosperity and decline of Buddhism.As the material space carrier of Buddhist culture,Xi’an Buddhist temple is an important place for religious communication and cultural exchange,as well as an important part of Xi’an historical and cultural heritage,with high historical,cultural and artistic values.Nowadays,as a typical urban Buddhist temple,the function orientation of Xi’an Buddhist temple has changed greatly in urban development.In terms of function,it is not only limited to religious activities such as Buddhist and Dharma activities,but also gradually involved in folk activities such as worship and praying,as well as social activities such as visiting and sightseeing.Buddhist temples gradually integrate with social life and become an indispensable part of the city.With the reform of Buddhis m and the support of the government,it is developing towards the trend of openness and publicity.Today and even in the future,Buddhist temples should not only be the ivory tower of Buddhists,but also take on more social functions and integrate into the society and serve the society.However,at present,the attention and development level of Xi’an Buddhist temple is still very lacking,and the spatial transformation is backward,which can not meet the higher requirements of the contemporary society.The refore,the traditional Buddhist temple in the transition period is facing the challenge of the current era.What needs to be solved is not aesthetics,style and other issues,but how to re understand the contradiction between the traditional Buddhist temp le and the modern city,and then make a value judgment.In view of this,this paper aims to shape the Xi’an Buddhist temple site that conforms to the times and has cultural connotation.Based on the research and feedback of the current situation of the space environment of the Buddhist temple site,and based on the behavior cognition of different types of users,this paper puts forward the corresponding level update strategy for the matching space in the Buddhist temple site.This paper discusses from four aspects: theoretical basis,investigation and discovery,analysis and solution,and example explanation:1.Starting from the basic overview of the theory of environmental behavior and the space of Xi’an Buddhist temple,through the combing of the basic theory and research overview,it is found that the research content and research purpose of the theory of environmental behavior and the site renewal of Buddhist temple are consistent,and the introduction of environmental behavior pr ovides a theoretical basis for the later systematic research.2.To further sort out the current situation of Xi’an Buddhist temple,select four typical Buddhist temples,respectively from the space environment level and behavior activity level,summarize the existing main problems through the investigation,and provide first-hand information for the later analysis and solution.3.Based on the behavior cognition of different users,starting from the characteristics and needs of the three major behaviors of religious behavior,folk custom behavior and social behavior,this paper updates the places of Buddhist temples in Xi’an,and puts forward the corresponding protection,transformation and development strategies of research space,B uddha worship space and recreation space.4.Taking the Xi’an Jianfu Temple site renewal project as the design practice,this paper makes a specific description,clarifies the renewal objectives and principles,and explores the specific renewal design method of the Jianfu Temple site under the guidance of the hierarchical renewal strategy.
