In recent years,as an important way to solve urban traffic problems, the subway has set off a large-scale construction boom in China. There are thirty-eight cities in my country that have opened subway operations, among which there are twenty-four historical and cultural cities, and there are a large number of subway stations that are closely connected to historical blocks.Xi’an is a famous historical city in China. There are three historical and cultural blocks in the urban area.Beiyuanmen is the most extensive and influential historical block. The construction of surrounding subways is constantly advancing;however, the construction of Beiyuanmen subway stations has not fully considered entrances and exits In connection with the surrounding historical blocks, problems such as chaotic traffic distribution and uncoordinated appearance have emerged. With the increase in the number of tourists and the increase in demand for use,the existing subway entrances and exits can no longer meet the needs of tourists and surrounding residents. The problems of too small collection and distribution space, irrational flow line organization, and inconsistency with the historical environment are increasingly prominent. The environmental transformation of the entrance and exit of the courtyard gate has become inevitable. In view of the current situation, the subway entrances and exits of Beiyuanmen Historic District are taken as the research object, that is,the space between the subway entrances and exits and the neighborhood.Carry out detailed investigations on subway entrances and exits and surrounding space, analyze passenger use requirements and evaluations on entrances and exits through interviews and questionnaires;comprehensive field survey results and data analysis, summarize key issues, propose corresponding strategies, and conduct redesign research.First of all, based on the above questions, read a lot of literature and explore the constituent elements, use needs and cognitive factors of subway entrances and exits in historical districts.Study the construction status of subway entrances and exits in historical blocks in China, summarize the experience and lessons of excellent cases;propose special requirements for the design of subway entrances and exits in historical blocks, and provide theoretical support and method guidance for research.Secondly, investigate the current status of Beiyuanmen subway construction and find out the subway stations closely linked to Beiyuanmen — Sajinqiao Station and Zhonglou Station.Through investigation, observe and analyze the existing problems in the transportation space, rest space, and environmental interface of the entrances and exits of Sajinqiao Station and Zhonglou Station, and summarize and summarize them;study the behavior characteristics and rules of passengers, and obtain the passengers’ entrances and exits through questionnaires Demand and satisfaction.Based on comprehensive analysis of the survey results,it is concluded that there are two problems in the space of the entrance and exit of the Beiyuanmen subway: the transportation function does not meet the needs of the block, and the landscape environment does not reflect the historical block style. Finally, according to the problems summarized in the investigation, the functional requirements and image recognition are discussed at two levels, and functional and image transformation strategies are proposed.Combining theory with practice and combining actual projects, this article explains how to explore the regional cultural features and times of the Beiyuanmen subway entrance and exit environment reconstruction design;integrate it into the design, show the humane care and personalized design of the subway entrance and exit, and display Xi’an city culture. It will provide a certain reference for the future retrofit design of subway entrances and exits in other historical districts.
