Spiral bevel gears are widely used in high speed stages of various transmission systems due to their advantages such as large gear teeth coincident coefficient,strong bearing capacity,smooth movement and high tooth strength.In the process of high speed and heavy load operation,the spiral bevel gear will produce severe vibration and impact,so it is very important to study the vibration characteristics and vibration reduction of spiral bevel gear.In this paper,a high-speed spiral bevel gear is taken as the object,aiming at the key problems in resonance prediction of the spiral bevel gear,damping ring vibration reduction and optimal design.This paper focuses on the modal analysis and traveling wave resonance prediction of high-speed spiral bevel gear with or without contact,the influence of additional damping ring on the vibration response of bevel gear transmission system,and the optimization design of structural parameters of open damping ring.(1)Introduction of disk traveling wave vibration and damping ring vibration reduction.Establishing a disk model of the simulated gear,by analyzing the modal frequency and traveling wave vibration of the disk,the traveling wave vibration of the disk is simulated and reproduced.By using the damping ring,the force vibration of disk is simulated and analyzed,the damping mechanism is understood,and the damping analysis method is mastered.(2)Research on traveling wave resonance of spiral bevel gear.Establish the finite element model of spiral bevel gear,carry out the modal analysis of spiral bevel gear with and without contact,obtain the natural frequency and vibration mode of the gear,Using Campbell diagram to predict the speed range of the possible traveling wave resonance of the driven bevel gear,and comparing with the reference test.The research shows that the gear resonance can be effectively predicted according to the analysis results considering the contact mode of the gear.(3)Research on dynamic analysis of spiral bevel gear with additional damping ring.Establishing the finite element model of spiral bevel gear transmission system with additional open damping ring.Through contact mode analysis and transient dynamic simulation analysis,analysis of the influence of additional damping ring on the traveling wave resonance region of bevel gear,and calculating the dynamic response of axial vibration deformation and root stress of spiral bevel gear.By comparison,it is found that the dense area of resonance point of driven bevel gear with additional damping ring has avoided the main working speed rang,and the vibration and stress of spiral bevel gear with additional damping ring are significantly reduced,especially the resonance condition is improved significantly.(4)Parameter optimization design of open damping ring.Exploring the optimal structural parameters of the opening amount,width and thickness of the opening type damping ring.The optimized Latin square test design was used for experimental design and calculation and verification.Based on the kriging model,the three parameters and the dynamic response of bevel gears were studied.The second generation genetic algorithm was used to optimize to determine the optimal structural parameter combination of the damping ring.The analysis results show that after the optimization of the split-type damping ring structure,the vibration and stress of the bevel gear are further reduced,which provides a reference for the rational design of the damping ring structure in engineering applications.
