Based on the finite element method,the finite element model of the additional C-type damping ring with spiral bevel gear is established.And the modal analysis,low-speed transient analysis and high-speed transient analysis of the model are carried out.The damping effect of the damping ring is verified and its vibration reduction law and principle are obtained.Finally,the influence of the mass,cross section aspect ratio and the installation Clearance on the vibration characteristics of the C-type damping ring is explored.Thus guiding the design of the damping ring in the gear transmission system,has certain engineering significance and value.The main contents of this paper are as follows:(1)Damping ring technologyThis part introduces the general situation and main classification of passive vibration reduction technology,the main types of dry friction damping rings and their different structural forms.In this part,the contact analysis and calculation of the integral damping ring and the C-damping ring are carried out by using the elastic-plastic mechanics.It provides a reference for the simulation of the boundary condition.(2)Finite element modeling and modal analysis of spiral bevel gearThis part introduces the classification of the common spiral bevel gears and the establishment of the three-dimensional model and finite element model of the bevel gear.After that,the static and high-speed modal analysis of the single bevel gear is carried out,and the frequency is verified.Finally,the modal analysis of the whole system is carried out.(3)Analysis of transient response of spiral bevel gear with damping ringIn this part,the low speed transient analysis of spiral bevel gears is carried out.The contact spot and contact force are analyzed and compared with the theoretical results,which verifies the correctness of the model and the rationality of the assembly and contact.Then the high speed transient analysis of spiral bevel gears is carried out,and the vibration of gears is studied by extracting the axial vibration of reference points.Then the transient analysis of high speed spiral bevel gear with damping ring model was extracted,the axial vibration of the same position of the reference node was compared with no damping ring case,verify the damping effect of the damping ring,and the damping rule and principle was found.(4)Influence of damping ring parametersIn this part,this paper investigates the condition that the length and width ratio of damping ring is unchanged,then,the length and width of the cross section are changed,so as to change the mass of the damping ring and its bending capacity.Finally,the comparison of the effect between the mass damping ring and the original damping ring is carried out.Then the influence of the aspect ratio of the cross section on the bending resistance of the damping ring is investigated.And the comparison of the effect between the modified damping ring and the original damping ring is carried out.Finally the influence law of the different installation clearance on the vibration reduction of the spiral bevel gear transmission system is studied.
