Piping system is widely used in all kinds of ships. As an important way to transfer mass flow, momentum flow and energy flow, the problem of vibration and noise in pipeline system has always been concerned. The strong vibration caused by various excitations may lead to the instability and even fatigue fracture of the pipeline system. At the same time, the vibration of pipeline system has a great impact on the acoustic stealth characteristics and the internal comfort of ships.Commercial software such as ANSYS can simulate various structures to obtain various parameters of their vibration characteristics, but its operation is relatively complex, and the calculation results often need to be exported for conversion. Therefore, the development of a software system with relatively simple operation and relatively direct calculation results is of great significance for people to grasp the vibration characteristics of pipeline system more conveniently and quickly. In this paper, the vibration characteristics of pipeline system are studied, and the theoretical basis and calculation method of the program are explained. In order to study the vibration characteristics of pipeline system, the modal parameters should be calculated first. The dynamic equation of pipeline system is obtained by finite element method.Considering the influence of spring, particle, internal flow and boundary conditions on the modal calculation of the pipeline system, its dynamic equation needs to be modified. Finally, the natural frequency and mode of vibration of pipeline system can be calculated.Based on the modal parameters, the modal superposition method can be used to calculate the vibration response of the pipeline system under external excitation. Then, the vibration performance of pipeline system can be studied from the perspective of vibration response.Based on the finite element method, the Pipeline Modal Analysis System is developed by using MATLAB,and ANSYS software is used to compare and verify the correctness of its calculation results. The modal identification test of pipeline system is carried out based on the real modal theory. After the modal parameters of the test model are obtained, the vibration response test of typical test points is carried out.The calculation results of the Pipeline Modal Analysis System are compared with the test results, and the correctness for the calculation of modal parameters and vibration response of the pipeline system are verified.
