| Since the beginning of the 21st century, the energy supply has increasingly become the bottleneck of China’s economic and social development, the important position of nuclear power has become increasingly prominent. However, from the occurrence of the Fukushima nuclear accident to the frequent occurrence of domestic anti-nuclear incidents, the pace of nuclear power development in China has slowed down. Therefore, better public perception of nuclear risk will help the risk communication of nuclear power projects, ensure the social environment for project implementation, and promote the healthy operation of China’s nuclear power projects.Based on the theory of risk society and risk perception theory, this research constructs a research framework for the impact of nuclear knowledge on nuclear risk perception. The aim is to explore the inherent logic between nuclear knowledge, trust and nuclear power plant risk perception through measurements of nuclear knowledge, trust, and nuclear risk perception. This paper uses the method of convenient sampling, selects 651 college students from six universities in Harbin universities according to the school’s attributes to conduct a questionnaire survey, and draws a descriptive statistical analysis and difference analysis on the demographic variables of nuclear risk perception. There is no significant difference in nuclear risk perception in terms of gender, school attributes, whether there are nuclear power plants in the provinces and there are significant differences in the professions. The students of science and engineering majors have relatively lower perceptions of nuclear risks than the literature and history students.Through multiple regression analysis, the negative correlation between nuclear knowledge and nuclear risk perception was verified. It is further concluded that the moderating effects of government trust, media trust, and expert trust in the impact of nuclear knowledge on nuclear risk perception are significant. However, the moderating effect of corporate trust on the impact of nuclear knowledge on nuclear risk perception is not significant.Considering that enterprises are profit-making organizations, the public has stereotypes about nuclear-related enterprises, and enterprises have less communication with the public in social production. To a certain extent, public participation in the nuclear field is hindered, and it can be explained that the moderating effect of corporate trust as a moderator on nuclear knowledge and risk perception is not significant. To some extent, this study enriches the research content of domestic nuclear risk perception, expands the research perspective of nuclear risk perception, and provides theoretical basis and guidance for the formulation of risk communication and management policies of the government:improving public nuclear knowledge, enhancing social trust and expand public participation. |
