With the development of space technology,space missions become more and more complex and diverse.At the same time,China’s exploration and utilization of space are deepening,and the development of space-based observation tasks is becoming more and more rich.There are more and more space-based observation tasks for space targets.Moreover,there are more and more research and demand for space-based visible light image data.However,due to the limited capital and cost,as well as the limited on orbit time and observable time window,the image data of space-based observation is relatively scarce.Because of the security and other reasons,the number of spatial object types and image data that can be obtained for research is even less.Therefore,it is necessary and urgent to study and simulate the visible light characteristics of space targets.Firstly,the law of light propagation in space is studied in this paper,and the concept and definition of light radiation was given.According to the sub theory,the concept of bidirectional reflection distribution function(BRDF)is given to describe the scattering characteristics of light from the surface materials of space objects,and the points of BRDF given by different methods are studied.Then,according to BRDF,the method of image rendering based on physics is given.In order to solve the radiation hemispherical integration on the surface of the object,Monte Carlo method is introduced.The derivation process of Monte Carlo path tracking is given in this paper.The simulation of light characteristics can be used as a bedding for the future reality.In this paper,through the establishment of space object model,space illumination model,space camera model,and given the Monte Carlo path tracking sampling method and solution process,using C + + language to complete the simulation of the visible light characteristics of space objects.A lot of experiments are done and the simulation results of different radiation directions are given.The results show that the simulation work can accurately represent the visible light characteristics of space targets.At the same time,the simulation results of different satellite attitude are given,which provide valuable research materials for the following chapters.Based on the research and Simulation of the visible light characteristics of space targets,the method of judging the motion state of space targets by using the simulation results was studied in this paper.The research shows that the method in this paper can get the motion state of space target attitude through the images of the simulation results.
