Nowadays,there are more and more communication equipment on the modern ship communication platform,and the stability of communication system is demanded higher and higher.Strong electromagnetic pulse greatly threatens the survivability of warship communication devices.When it enters the electronic system through the warship communication antenna,it will cause serious damage to the sensitive circuit,so it is very important to study the combination and protection of the typical ship communication antenna to the strong electromagnetic pulse.In this paper,based on the characteristics of typical ship communication antenna,a half-wave dipole antenna and a four-arm helical antenna are designed.The antenna is simulated by CST software,and the performance of the antenna is analyzed.Then,the antenna is simulated by Ship EDF in the warship environment,and the performance of the antenna on the warship is analyzed.The results show that the two antennas designed have good working performance.The performance of the two antennas on the ship platform is less affected,and the horizontal gain does not change significantly.Secondly,according to the characteristics of the three strong EMP,the mathematical model of the strong EMP is modeled.Two ship antennas are irradiated with three kinds of strong electromagnetic pulse,and the induced voltage waveform of the antenna is obtained.The coupling effect of the strong electromagnetic pulse on the antenna is analyzed.Ultra-wideband electromagnetic pulse coupling with antenna is not good because of the lack of energy distribution,but it will also affect the circuit when the bandwidth is relatively small;The coupling effect of high-power microwave is mainly related to the matching degree of the pulse frequency with the antenna operating frequency.When the pulse frequency is close to the antenna operating frequency,it will couple with more energy;Although the energy of lightning electromagnetic pulse is large,the frequency of lightning electromagnetic pulse is low,which has a greater impact on antennas with lower working frequency.Finally,the protection of strong electromagnetic pulse is analyzed.A scheme of combined protection of peak discharge and filter is designed for lightning electromagnetic pulse,and the effect of protection is analyzed by ADS software.For the protection of lightning electromagnetic pulse,a combination of peak discharge and filter is used.From the result,the peak voltage can be released,and most of the energy of lightning electromagnetic pulse can be filtered out.At the same time,the signal waveform is more complete,which can play a good protection effect on lightning electromagnetic pulse.
