In the road traffic system composed of "man-car-road-environment",the driver is the determinant of traffic safety and order, and the study of driving behavior has become a hot spot in the field of road traffic safety. The driving scene is complex and changeable, which has different influence on drivers with different personalities. With the in-depth study of dynamic personality psychology,it has become the mainstream of driver personality research to discuss the relationship between personality states and driving in specific driving situations from a dynamic perspective. In addition, the previous evaluation of driving ability have mainly focused on questionnaire analysis or driving performance assessment, and failed to consider the impact of the driver’s physiological and psychological states on driving performance, which made the driving evaluation incomplete. From the perspective of "physiology and psychology" of drivers, this paper designs the typical simulated driving situations, extracts the key driving indicators representing the big five personalities, establishes the correlation between the personality and driving indicators, and then introduces the personality baseline for dynamic personality analysis. To further expand the research dimension of driving behavior, the driving ability evaluation model is built by combining the physiological, psychological and driving operation data, and the real-time dynamic evaluation of driving ability is carried out.It is of great significance to establish a reasonable and effective driving ability assessment framework in conjunction with multi-dimensional factors to deeply understand the causes of driving behavior and improve road safety. The main research contents and achievements of this paper are as follows:(1)In this paper, the main research line of "typical scenario analysis-experimental design-simulated driving experiments-data acquisition of driving indicators and physiological indicators-dynamic personality characterization and research-driving ability assessment" is developed. And simultaneously with the driver’s simulated driving experiment, the wireless ECG sensor is used to acquire the driver’s physiological data in real time.At the same time, the NEO-FFI Personality Questionnaire(Neuroticism Extraversion Openness Five-Factor Inventory)was used to obtain the driver’s personality baseline to reflect the driver’s personality traits. The above laid the foundation for personality,ECG(Electrocardiography)and driving data for subsequent research.(2)The dynamic personality theory is introduced and the correlation between driver’s personality and driving index is quantitatively analyzed by combining traditional and dynamic personality research methods.Considering the low impact of risk-free scenario on drivers, the traditional personality research method is used to analyze and extract key driving indicators that can characterize the big five personality. Then the k-means clustering model is used to cluster the index data to obtain the threshold value of the key indicators based on five personality states. On this basis, the traditional and dynamic personality research methods are used to quantitatively analyze the performance of drivers in risk situations. The results show that the high-risk situation has more influence on the drivers personality states, especially for the drivers with open and extroverted personality baseline, the fluctuation of personality states is more obvious.(3)Based on the research of dynamic personality, this paper further expands the research perspective and builds a driving ability evaluation framework from the three-dimensional perspective of physiology, psychology and driving operation. The ECG signal and driving operation data are analyzed to obtain 7 kinds of driving ability evaluation indexes. And considering the mutual influence between indicators, the Analytic Network Process is used to establish a driving ability evaluation model, and further combined with personality states changes, the benchmark driving ability thresholds based on five personality states are obtained. Then,in the form of driving ability value, the driver’s driving behaviors in different situations are quantitatively analyzed. The results show that the driver’s personality states are related to the benchmark driving ability, and the driving behavior can be quantitatively expressed and analyzed in a more intuitive and comprehensive way by combining the multidimensional factors in the form of driving ability values.
