As a new type of environmental protection pavement,permeable asphalt pavement has unique advantages in improving driving safety,comfort and reducing traffic noise.Under the wide influence of the concept of sponge city development with low impact,it has become the most popular pavement form of urban roads and highways in China.Good pavement performance depends on material and environment.High viscous modified asphalt has become the key material of permeable asphalt pavement because of its excellent high temperature performance and adhesion performance.Aiming at the deficiency of cohesion and adhesion of traditional high-viscosity asphalt,a new type of special high-viscosity asphalt,T-HVA asphalt,was prepared by using thermoplastic elastomer,tackifier and toughener as raw materials.The performance of the new asphalt was compared with 70# road asphalt,SBS modified asphalt and traditional high-viscosity asphalt.The conventional properties,cohesion and adhesion of different kinds of asphalt were analyzed.The results show that T-HVA asphalt has good high temperature stability and low temperature ductility.Its dynamic viscosity is much higher than that of ordinary modified asphalt,and its storage stability is weaker than that of SBS modified asphalt.The results of bonding force impact pendulum and low temperature force ductility test show that T-HVA asphalt has better cohesive force and excellent anti-aging performance,especially after aging,its low temperature performance is obviously better than other asphalt.Ultraviolet spectrophotometry can effectively distinguish the peeling rate of different bituminous and stone materials,T-HVA asphalt and aggregate adhesion are strong,and can effectively resist water effect;these properties indicate T-HVA Asphalt can meet the technical requirements of pervious asphalt mixture for asphalt materials.The rheological properties of T-HVA asphalt are analyzed.The results show that the performance of T-HVA asphalt is classified as PG82-28,and the creep recovery performance is good.It has strong high temperature deformation resistance and low temperature crack resistance.Microstructure of asphalt was observed by fluorescence microscopy.The dispersing effect of modifier in asphalt was good,and the distribution of T-HVA asphalt was uniform.Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy showed that new groups were formed in T-HVA asphalt,indicating that physical and chemical reactions took place during the modification process.The gradation and asphalt-aggregate ratio of porous T-HVA asphalt mixture are determined by using the design method of mixture ratio of permeable asphalt mixture,and its pavement performance is verified.The results show that the T-HVA asphalt mixture can meet the performance requirements of pervious asphalt mixture,and has good high temperature performance.The asphalt and aggregate have enough bonding strength and strong water damage resistance.
