| With the fierce competition in the China’s automotive aftermarket,the profits from the new car sales business is becoming fewer and fewer.However,auto aftermarket is becoming the significant source of increasing profit margin for Chinese automobile company.After-sales spare part business is the most important segment in the aftermarket,more and more automobile enterprises regard it as the new point of profit growth.Compared with many traditional products,spare parts have several unique characteristics,such as the variety diversity,strict timeliness and high uncertainty.Some appropriate measurements –shorten time for delivery,build up mechanism of quick response-should be adopted by the automobile enterprises so that it can provide good quality service and improve the satisfaction of customers without any costs increase.Consequently,the optimization of auto spare parts service lever is of great practical significance in aftermarket service.The paper analyzes the current situation of spare parts service lever of S company and the reasons for major issues arising from the service process are also analyzed by this paper.Three criterions which are called parts availability,parts delivery and shipment in good condition are present to assess the service lever of S company in this paper.And the paper also makes a deep study on these elements and comes up with the detailed optimization strategy and implementation measures.First of all,the method of spare parts management is optimized based on their features.Two-dimensional ABC classification is introduced by considering the demand value and the demand frequency of spare parts.New strategy of safety stocks is set up for the multi-echelon logistics network on the basis of new ABC classification.The optimized strategy helps S company improve the parts availability on the condition of keeping the original inventory value.Secondly,the paper optimizes the method of spare parts forecast and puts forward the improved delivery mode.Optimization of demand forecast includes improvement on analysis of time series and setting up multiple liner regression model based on the total lifetime of spare parts.On the aspect of delivery mode,the paper offers the proposal of transferring delivery mode from push-based to pull-based.Customer satisfaction of parts delivery of S company has been great improved by means of these strategiesFinally,in term of shipment condition,the paper establishes the performance evaluation system of third party logistics for S company based on AHP in view of its weakness in logistics supplier management.Meanwhile the paper works out a detailed implementation plan to put the evaluation into practice.The improved method makes the management on third party logistics more effective and the customer satisfaction on shipment condition has been significantly improved. |
