The Revenue Management Strategies On The Spaces Allocation Of E Shipping Line

As the depth adjustment of the global economy,and slow recovery,the international shipping market still under the downturn,facing the tight competitive situation.The BDI index,which represents the bulk of the dry bulk shipping,continues to hover at historically low levels.In recent years,the BDI mean has been maintained at 742 points.According to the assessment by the professionals,the performance of the shipping market will continue to be weak since the financial crisis in 2008 and for a long time to come.At the same time,transport capacity and freight slowdown pressure will continue.Only with the help of scale effect,it will be a goal for every shipping enterprise and even the whole industry to reduce the transportation cost of single container and increase the profit.This paper mainly studies how E shipping company can do well in revenue management,and how to effectively use the revenue management of the airline industry in the shipping industry.Try to find some suitable strategies and methods,effective allocation of space,so that the E shipping company to achieve sustainable competitiveness,and obtain the corresponding with the international market share,in an invincible position in the industry.The emphasis of this paper the E shipping company is how to use the revenue management theory to effectivly allocate the spaces,to make pricing system,to improve the accuracy of demand forecasting,to reduce operation costs,to improve customers management,thus the enterprise can increase profits,enhance competitiveness.The difficulty of this study is based on the theory of revenue management,how to determine the index of the spaces inventory management,select the suitable index,and make the suitable strategies.The convenience of the author’s work in E shipping company is also beneficial to the data acquisition in the empirical analysis,which makes the argumentation process and conclusion more convincing.In this paper,we study the revenue management of E shipping company,and try to find the revenue management strategies for container shipping industry.The research not only has the guiding significance for the foreign enterprise E shipping company,for our domestic large-scale shipping enterprises,such as China Cosco shipping co.,ltd,China Merchants Energy Shipping co.,ltd and Sinotrans shipping also has certain reference significance.
