The change decision is the cognitive process of selecting the target lane after the driver has the intention of changing the lane, and then evaluating the distance between the vehicle and the vehicle before and after the target lane based on the position and speed of the vehicle,so as to determine the appropriate time point of the lane change. In the past, most of the previous studies examined the difference of decision-making response time of different experienced drivers, and did not analyze in detail the difference of their decision-making under different lane conditions.Based on this, this study mainly investigates the interaction between driving experience and lane type on driver changing path decision, and explores the driving style and visual attention mechanism of different experienced drivers. The study is divided into two parts:Research 1:Using 2 × 2 mixed experimental design, the independent variables between the two groups are driving experience(trainee driver, experienced driver),the independent variables in the group are lane type(middle lane, side lane),and the dependent variable is lane change decision.Dependent variables used the index of key response, variable channel frequency. The driving video scene under two kinds of lane conditions is used as the experimental material, and the subjects are required to react by keystrokes when judging that the lane can be changed safely in order to pass through the road section quickly. At the end of the experiment, the driving behavior tendency related scale was completed.Research 2: Research 2 attempts to further analyze the visual attention mechanism that leads to the difference of the reaction time between the experienced driver and the trainee driver in different lane conditions. The experiment was designed with 2 × 2 × 2 mixed three factors. The independent variables between the two groups were driving experience(experienced driver, trainee driver),and the independent variables in the group were lane type(middle lane, side lane)and eye movement area of interest(front visual field, side view mirror). The dependent variable is the total gaze time in the front field of view and the side view mirror when the driver changes his path. From these two researches, the following conclusions are drawn:(1)Driving experience and lane type interact with driver’s changing path decision reaction time: under the condition of middle lane, the reaction time of trainee driver is slower than that of empirical driver;Under the condition of side lane, the trainee driver responds faster than the empirical driver. The faster the reaction time of side lane intern driver changing path, the stronger the tendency of driving function defect.(2)Driving experience, lane type and visual attention interest area interact with the total fixation time of the driver: under the condition of the middle lane, the total fixation time of the intern driver to the side view mirror is longer than that of the experienced driver;Under the condition of side lane, the total gaze time of the trainee driver to the front field of vision is longer than that of the experienced driver.(3)Under the condition of side lane, the longer the watching time of the trainee driver to the forward visual field, the faster the reaction time of the changing path decision, which may be the main visual attention mechanism of the intern driver faster than the empirical driver.
