The lane changing is a high-risk driving behavior and thereare countless traffic accidents caused by lane changing every year,with the largest proportion being caused by the driver himself.Therefore,the studies of driver characteristics and lane-changing behavior are considered playing important roles in improving the safety of lane changing.Various driving styles of drivers are quantified and their lane-changing behaviors are discussed.The drivers of different driving styles are warned based on the trajectory research,thus this thesis is expected giving assistance to solve the different traffic accidents caused by drivers and having a certain guiding significance for the actual operations of drivers.The main work done is as follows:(1)The driver lane-changing behavior is analyzed from the nature of behavior.Combining with lane changing trajectory,lane-changing process is divided into lane-changing intention stage and lane-changing execution stage.The differences among the different drivers’ lane change are analyzed through lane changing time,expected speed and lane changing psychology.(2)The advantages and disadvantages are described and compared though fuzzy reasoning method,the principal component analysis,support vector machine and neural network and other methods,respectively.The principal component analysis method is chose to quantify the driving styles of drivers.The principal component analysis(PCA)of the questionnaire is conducted using SPSS software.The K-means clustering method is used to classify the analysis results,and the two groups are radical and non-radical.The two groups of drivers are tested,then the data are fitted by 5 polynomials to study the characteristics of the trajectories of different styles of drivers and the differences and its causes,average lane time is obtain by statistics.The prediction model of lane crossing time is established based on the similarity of lane changing track.(3)The design of assistant lane-changing system is described.The function of each structural module is expounded.According to the dangerous situation,four safety levels are set for early warning,This research has provide theoretical and technical support to different styles of driver’s assistant lane-changing system.
