With the changes of the modern traffic characteristics,higher requirements for asphalt mixture performance are also proposed.Gradation is the main factor that influences the road performance of asphalt mixture.Therefore,the design and detect of the gradation became more and more important.Gradation is closely related to rutting disease of asphalt pavement.Skeleton dense asphalt mixture has been paid more attention in gradation design because of its high temperature stability.At present,whether the internal structure of the asphalt mixture is formed and the quality of the skeleton is lake of reasonable indicators.The existing skeleton indicators are basically empirical,and mainly is qualitative analysis.The discriminant basis is too simple and the design method of the skeleton mixture could not guarantee the quality of designed skeleton structure.Based on the above background,in this paper,the asphalt mixture gradation was identified according IPAS digital image analysis software,and the results of image recognition and traditional gradation detection were compared.At the same time,the internal structure of the mixture was analyzed and the correlation between the internal structure parameters and the high temperature stability of the mixture were analyzed,and the asphalt mixture skeleton and the skeleton evaluation parameters were optimized.Based on this,the design method of bearing skeleton asphalt mixture with grading and subscale evaluation index is proposedWith the help of digital image technology,the distribution characteristics of the aggregate in the mixture are studied.It is found that the coarse aggregate in the mixture is mainly distributed at the bottom and the 1/3R-R(sample radius)of the specimen,and the uniformity of the distribution of the inner aggregate along the vertical direction of the specimen is worse at the both ends and better in the middle.The internal skeleton and the mesoscopic characteristic were studied.Based on this,the discriminant parameter of the skeleton forming criterion of SMA asphalt mixture in the current specification was optimized,and the "suspended" coarse aggregate content and average coordination number evaluate the quality of the skeleton were proposed;proposed a design method to make coarse aggregate embedded more fully and then form a more excellent skeleton structure,and high reliability,the smaller the amount of test design method of bearing skeleton-type asphalt mixture combined with blending method and meso-evaluation index.The bearing skeleton asphalt mixture designed by this method has better road performance,and the laboratory test results show that the method is reasonable and feasible.
