Aiming at the problem of point source dust pollution in various industrial production activities,flexible and efficient dust removal equipment is urgently needed for dust control in such industrial sites.The pleated filter cartridge with large diameter has the advantages of large filtration area and small occupation area,which can meet the needs of such equipment.However,its complex pleat structure will lead to the decrease of pulse jet cleaning efficiency and effective filtration area of the filter cartridge,and affect the stable operation state of the dust collector.Therefore,using the movable cabinet industrial dust collector as the experimental platform,the influence of the pleat ratio parameter on the pulse jet cleaning performance of the dust collector and the effective filtration area of the filter cartridge are explored in this paper by performing industrial dust filtration experiments on different pleat ratio parameters.To select the most suitable pulse jet condition for the movable cabinet industrial dust collector,this paper adopts three types of nozzle such as rectangular nozzle,upper-opening diffuser,induction nozzle,etc.,respectively,under the pulse-jet pressure of 0.2,0.3,0.4MPa for industrial dust cleaning experiments with clean-on-demand mode.The results show that under the pulse jet pressure of 0.4MPa,when the upper opening diffuser is used for pulse jet cleaning,the average cleaning interval of the dust collector is the longest,and the outlet dust mass concentration is also the lowest,which is the pulse jet cleaning condition with the best dust cleaning performance.Four kinds of pleated filter cartridges are selected with the pleat ratio parameterαof1.23,1.47,1.7 and 1.8 respectively,for industrial dust filtration experiments under different inlet dust mass concentrations,and the changes of operating resistance and outlet dust mass concentration before and after each pulse injection of the system were recorded.The results show that the filter cartridge with pleat ratioα=1.47 can achieve the best pulse-jet cleaning performance at the inlet dust concentration of 40 g/m~3、80 g/m~3and 120 g/m~3.This experimental result shows that with the increase of pleat ratio parameters,although the theoretical filtration area of the filter cartridge increases,the dust removal performance will become worse,resulting in a decrease in the effective filtration area of the filter cartridge.Therefore,by deducing the calculation formula of the effective filtration area,the operation resistance data of filter cartridges with different pleat ratio parameters are analyzed and calculated.The results show that the average effective filtration area ratioβof filter D with pleat ratioα=1.8 is the highest,when the inlet dust concentration is 40 g/m~3.Under the inlet dust concentration of 80g/m~3,the filter B with pleat ratioα=1.47 has the highest average effective filter area ratioβ.At the inlet dust concentration of 120 g/m~3,the filter C with pleat ratioα=1.7has the highest average effective filter area ratioβ.The above research results provide certain basis and reliable data reference for the operation parameters of pleated filter cartridge in industrial application under different operating conditions.
