Literati Wine Style And The Design Of Porcelain Wine Utensils In Song And Yuan Dynasties

As early as the Xia,Shang and Zhou Dynasties,China had a prosperous brewing industry,which has been inherited for thousands of years.Wine and wine culture occupy an extremely important position in people’s life.The improvement of wine making technology in Song and Yuan Dynasties stimulated the vigorous development of wine and wine culture;The ups and downs of the times have created the unique aesthetic of the literati class,and countless excellent literary and artistic works have emerged;At this time,the porcelain making process has also made great progress and achieved many achievements;The collision between the three has a profound impact on the production and use of porcelain wine sets.This paper expounds the development process of wine culture in the Song and Yuan Dynasties,analyzes the popular wines in each period and makes a simple overview of their brewing technology,arranges the poetry and literary works related to wine,obtains the changes of drinking types in the Song and Yuan Dynasties,the enthusiasm and preference of literati for drinking activities,and defines the customs of literati drinking in the Song and Yuan Dynasties and the vigorous development of wine culture in this period.Referring to the use function of wine utensils,it is divided into four aspects: wine storage,wine holding,wine pouring and drinking.It combs the varieties and types of main porcelain wine utensils in the Song and Yuan Dynasties,and analyzes each generation of porcelain wine utensils.Discussings the changes of porcelain wine utensils in modeling and decoration under the interest of scholars.This paper discusses the reasons for the changes from the aspects of political background,economic development,cultural customs,lifestyle,religious belief,technology and so on.The influence of scholar’s wine style on the design of porcelain wine utensils and the influence of wine culture on ceramic culture are obtained,and the reasons for the vigorous development of porcelain wine utensils in the Song and Yuan Dynasties are revealed.
