| In a global context,about 36% of the final energy usage and carbon dioxide CO2 emissions of almost 40% is recorded by the buildings sector.Pakistan consume most of its energy in building sector.At present,a serious energy crisis in Pakistan has adversely affected the country’s economic growth.The geographical location of Pakistan(latitude between 24 N and 35N)indicates that the country is in a sunny and hot climate throughout the year.Utilization of energy efficient material in building can reduce energy consumption.This study investigates,local natural material(Mud,Clay Bricks,etc.)in order to provide important lessons for sustainable development in hot dry climate of a village of Khairpur Mir’s Sindh,Pakistan to reduce energy consumption which is the major issue.To analyze and understand the ideology of adobe material that how it performs well in hot arid desert climate.Utilizing a computer-based using Energy Plus to perform energy simulation,(energy tool).This research originally adopted a case study approach that required literature review study and walk through energy audit of two Houses in hot climate in Pakistan,where their physical components,thermal performance and energy end uses were obtained.This enabled the deduction of the energy performance of the houses with different construction materials.The investigation also uses other methods,design software etc.To conduct an explanatory study to determine how and why local natural materials are sustainable.The purpose of this study is to demonstrate and study the sustainability and quality of geotechnical structures under practical conditions.The use of earth buildings materials has been established in energy efficient homes.Mud bricks are made up of clay,water and bonding materials such as rice husks or straw.The advantages of mud bricks include their low cost and good thermal mass.In this thesis,energy saving in Adobe mud house as compared to contemporary house by using simulation tools to know building made of mud act as environmentally friendly as compare to contemporary house.The purpose of mud house is to provide sustainable environment and reduce energy consumption.Mud conserve the energy both during construction as well as for achieving thermal comfort inside the house. |
