The ammoxidation processis a chemical reaction process which is of high temperature,rapid and explosive,with lots of potential hazards.All of these hazards can be converted into accident under certain condition.The subsequent consequence will result in production interruption,equipment damage and even fatalities,generating uncountable lossess and the impact hard to retrieve.Therefore,this dissertaton conducts process hazard analysis for ammoxidation unit of nitric acid plant,looking forprocess safety issues in the process of ammoxidation,and coming up with safety measures,which provides support for management of other elements of process safety management,and has important theoretical significance and practical application value in restraining occurrence of process accidents arising from ammoxidation process in nitric acid industry.This dissertation is based on research status of process safety management at home and abroad,as per the characteristics about source of hazard in the process of chemical production,hazard identification for ammoxidiation unit of nitric acid plant was carried out to look for potential hazard in the system.Taking 270 KTA nitric acid plant of SINOPEC Nanjing Chemical Industries Co.,Ltd.as an example,HAZOP analysis is conducted for ammoxidation unit of nitric acid plant to increase inherent safety of the process from the source,by fully identifying the hazards and operability issues in the process and putting forward recommendations accordingly.Risk level assessment is performed according to risk matrix,screening out high-risk accident scenario which will be later introduced into LOPA system for further analysis,to determine frequency of occurrence for accident and decide if protection layer can reduce the risk to acceptable level.HAZOP can be continuously perfected by means of recommendation after LOPA analysis.Fault tree analysis(FTA)regarding high-risk scenarios like explosion of oxidizing furnace and ammonium saltis established to trace accident cause on layer-by-layer basis and come up with systematic preventive measures.
