Research On The Influencing Factors Of Enterprise Carbon Information Disclosure Driven By Green Development

With the global warming,environmental issues have become the focus of attention,and green economy as a new development concept and development mode emerged.Promoting low-carbon industrial development is the only way to realize green and sustainable development of social economy.Enterprises are undoubtedly the important micro-carriers of the development of green economy.Their disclosure of information related to their “carbon behavior”,such as carbon management,management and technology development,has increased the transparency of market information,the good carbon behavior of enterprises is bound to cause positive response from the market,such as the carbon reputation of enterprises,changes in value,product market acceptance and so on May change for the better,this kind of positive information feedback can trigger the power mechanism of energy saving and emission reduction,which can further improve the carbon behavior of enterprises.Based on Information asymmetry theory,Signaling theory,Stakeholder theory,and Organizational legitimacy theory,this paper systematically reviews and analyzes the relevant literature,combining the current domestic driving factors such as energy saving and emission reduction,green development,government environmental regulation,carbon trading pilot,environmental management system certification,etc.,a multiple regression model of the factors influencing the disclosure of carbon information under the driving force of green development is constructed,by manually collecting data on corporate social responsibility reporting,sustainable development reporting and environmental reporting for the period 2015-2019 on carbon disclosure levels,proxy variables of various Green Development Drivers and control variables,using Stata13.0,panel data regression analysis was carried out to verify the promotion of green development drivers on corporate carbon disclosure in practice.The results show that government environmental regulation,carbon trading pilot enterprises,carbon performance and environmental management system certification are positively correlated with the level of carbon disclosure.The empirical results show that the factors that drive the enterprises to pursue green development play a positive role in the practice of corporate carbon disclosure.It also means that these green development drivers have the effect of improving corporate carbon behavior through institutional design,and are thus willing to disclose more and higher quality carbon information.It is suggested that the government should actively promote the low-carbon pilot policy so as to facilitate the early official operation of a unified national Carbon trading market;steadily promote the construction of the legal system of carbon information disclosure;and that enterprises should effectively improve their carbon behavior and strengthen the disclosure of carbon information,we will actively fulfill our responsibility to protect the environment and achieve green,low-carbon and sustainable development.
