Research On The Relationship Between Domestic Carbon Information Disclosure System And Disclosure Quality

With the increasing greenhouse effect,environmental issues have become a common problem that troubles countries around the world,and reducing the total global carbon emissions is urgent.Since the promulgation of the Kyoto Protocol in 1997,the construction of a carbon emission trading market has become increasingly mainstream,promoting enterprises to actively disclose carbon emission information and consciously accept external supervision.In recent years.China has continuously promoted the construction of a carbon trading system,and the introduction of a series of policies and regulations has provided a good policy environment.However,due to the early stage of China’s carbon trading system and the need to increase the attention of various sectors of society,the overall level of carbon information disclosure in China needs to be improved.From this perspective,analyzing the current construction of carbon information disclosure systems in China and studying the relevant factors that affect the quality of enterprise carbon information disclosure have certain practical guiding significance.In order to systematically understand the current status of domestic carbon information disclosure system and analyze the impact of carbon information disclosure system on the quality of corporate disclosure under the macro institutional background,this article establishes a multiple regression model,using the Shanghai Stock Exchange Social Responsibility Index(100 index)from 2016 to 2021 as research samples,to empirically study the relationship between domestic carbon information disclosure system and the quality of corporate disclosure,as well as the nature of the enterprise industry The moderating effect of differences in equity nature.The research concludes that:(1)there is a positive correlation between carbon information disclosure related systems and the quality of enterprise information disclosure,and improving information disclosure systems and regulations by the government can effectively improve the quality of enterprise disclosure;(2)From the perspective of the nature of corporate equity,state-owned enterprises have a stronger sense of social responsibility and a significantly higher level of disclosure than non-state-owned enterprises.The equity nature of state-owned enterprises can enhance the promoting effect of carbon information disclosure system on the quality of corporate disclosure;(3)From the perspective of the nature of the industry in which the enterprise operates,due to the special nature of heavily polluting industries,the disclosure level of carbon intensive industry enterprises is significantly higher than that of non carbon intensive industry enterprises.The carbon information disclosure system of enterprises in carbon intensive industries also plays a more significant role in promoting the quality of enterprise disclosure.Based on the results of empirical research,this article proposes targeted policy recommendations from the perspective of the government.At present,research on carbon information disclosure is mostly based on micro factors,and this article innovatively expands the research dimension to the field of macro systems.In order to confirm the role of corporate equity nature and industry nature factors in the relationship between carbon information disclosure system and disclosure quality,this article groups and regresses the sample enterprises according to their equity nature and industry nature,further refining the research dimension to the equity nature and industry nature of the enterprises.The research results of this article can enhance the importance that enterprises attach to information disclosure,provide scientific reference and guidance for carbon information disclosure,and also provide evidence for the government to improve the domestic carbon information disclosure system.The improvement of the overall quality of carbon information disclosure in China is conducive to promoting the construction of China’s carbon trading market and achieving the "30·60" dual carbon target,thereby achieving high-quality and sustainable development of the country.
