A Study On Engels’ Ecological Thought From The Perspective Of Contemporary Existence Ecology

Engels’ ecological theory profoundly elaborated the dialectical law of nature,and showed the indispensable and important position of nature to human beings.Engels’ ecological theory has rich theoretical content,profound ideological implications and long-term significance.The theory emphasizes the value of nature.Professor Wu Yuanhua of Huaqiao University puts forward the research perspective of "survival ecology" in his book The Existence Ecology:A New Interpretation of Marx’s Thoughts,which focuses on the the ecological relationship between human society and the outside influence.From the two dimensions of ecological criticism of nature and ecological criticism of survival,it demonstrates the intimate relationship between man and nature,and the value purport of this theory is to realize the real liberation of man.Engels’ ecological thought from the perspective of contemporary survival ecology holds that the living world,labor and "kingdom of freedom" have survival ecological implication.Human’s individual activities,overall behavior and the outside world overlap and influence each other to form the living world of human beings.In essence,labor is the material exchange activity.Through the intermediary of labor,the elements of the world of human life influence each other.Improper handling of the relationship between the three systems in the living world will cause people’s life world to be broken,so the "free kingdom" of harmonious relationship among the three systems is the ideal social state of human beings.From the perspective of survival ecology,Engels’ ecological thought criticizes the non-ecology of capitalist system mainly from the two dimensions of survival ecology criticism and natural ecology criticism,reveals the destruction of the bourgeoisie to the natural ecology and the persecution of the workers’ right to enjoy the natural ecology,and clearly points out the consistency of the destiny of man and nature.In essence,ecological crisis is a comprehensive crisis of human survival and development.Only by "species promotion" and "social promotion" can human be liberated from the state of being oppressed by nature and others,and the reconciliation between human and nature can be truly realized.Look at it from the view of survival ecology,the value pursuit of Engels’ ecological thought lies in the realization of human’s truest liberation,which is the emancipation of human’ s ecological survival mode,the liberation of human activities based on the long time development of natural ecology,and the building of the real coordinating relationship between human and natural ecology.The study of Engels’ ecological theory on the point of contemporary survival ecology reflects his pursuit of human liberation and enriches the humanistic value implication of his ecological thought.This research perspective inspires us to criticize the social system for survival and ecology,look at social development from a comprehensive perspective,pay attention to solving environmental problems that influence people’s standard of living,and safeguard people’s ecological rights and interests and social ecological justice.Socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era should take the compatible relationship among human survival and development and the ecological environment as the yardstick to measure the construction of ecological civilization and promote the overall civilization and liberation of the society.
