The city is a comprehensive entity of material,information and energy.Spatial expansion is always one of the main trends of the future development of the city.The stress of urbanization on the eco-environment will not disappear in the short term.In the process of interaction between urbanization and eco-environment,on the one hand,high-intensity urbanization is bound to affect or even destroy the regional eco-environment;On the other hand,the deterioration of eco-environment will restrict urbanization and sustainable development.As one of the areas with strong population and human activities,the changes of eco-environment in Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area will have an inestimable impact on the improvement of people’s living environment and urban development.In recent years,the rapid development of remote sensing technology and the improvement of computer processing level provide technical support for the monitoring of regional eco-environment and urbanization.Remote sensing data is easy to obtain and has various spatial and temporal scales.Its unique advantages in update cycle and spatial resolution can meet the timeliness requirements of eco-environment monitoring and urbanization analysis.Therefore,it is of great significance to comprehensively and objectively monitor the eco-environment and Urbanization Characteristics of Guangdong-Hong KongMacao Greater Bay Area,and analyze its coordination degree,so as to improve the ecoenvironment quality and promote the industrial linkage development of Guangdong,Hong Kong and Macao Bay area.Considering the advantages of daytime optical remote sensing and nighttime light remote sensing in revealing the eco-environment and urbanization characteristics,this paper takes the urban agglomeration of Guangdong,Hong Kong and Macao as the research object,and takes Landsat TM / OLI remote sensing image and "NPP-VIIRS like" nighttime light image as the data sources,The remote sensing ecological index representing the ecological quality and the comprehensive night light index representing the urbanization level were calculated respectively,and applied to the coupling coordination degree model to analyze the coordination degree between the eco-environment and urbanization of Guangdong,Hong Kong and Macao megalopolis.The results show that:(1)The average value of RSEI in Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area from2001 to 2018 generally showed a fluctuating trend,rising from poor to good.In terms of single index,greenness index showed a fluctuating upward trend.Humidity index showed a fluctuating upward trend,while heat index showed a slight fluctuating upward trend.Dryness index showed a slight fluctuating downward trend.In general,the RSEI in Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area showed a significantly improving trend.(2)From 2001 to 2018,the average value of CNLI in Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area fluctuated and increased,the process of urbanization accelerated,and the difference between cities was significant.The CNLI values of Shenzhen and Dongguan are higher than the average level in Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area;The increase of CNLI in Foshan was the largest,followed by Dongguan and Zhongshan;Although the CNLI values of Zhaoqing,Jiangmen and Huizhou are lower than the average level in Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area,their growth rates rank in the top three and are significantly higher than those of other regions;After nearly 18 years of development,the urban agglomeration of Guangdong,Hong Kong and Macao has formed an urbanization pattern with "Guangzhou and Foshan" and "Shenzhen and Dongguan" as the dual core and gradually spread around.Among them,the high-intensity urbanization cities are concentrated in Guangzhou,Foshan,Shenzhen and Dongguan,while the low-intensity urbanization cities are distributed in the north,West and southwest of the study area.(3)From 2001 to 2018,the coordination degree between the eco-environment and urbanization in Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area showed a slight upward trend,still maintained at a moderate imbalance level,with obvious spatial differentiation.On the whole,the coordination degree of eco-environment and urbanization in Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area is developing in benign direction.Due to the accuracy of remote sensing images,RSEI and CNLI only represent the ecoenvironment quality and urbanization level respectively to some extent.Therefore,nonremote sensing data can be combined with the tests.
