With the development of economic globalization and the sharp increase of international trade, some developed countries, taking into account the strategy of sustainable development,in order to protect their own environment, have adopted strict environmental regulation policies, transferring domestic waste or polluting industries to countries with relatively lax environmental regulations for treatment or for reproduction as intermediate products, developing countries,on the other hand, will take on waste or polluting industries from developed countries by reducing the intensity of their own environmental regulations, thus promoting their own economic development, there is competition between the developed countries and the developed countries, and there is competition between the developing countries and the developing countries. The main purpose of this article is to study the impact of spatial spillover effects of environmental regulations between countries on waste imports.First, this article introduces the relevant theories of environmental regulation, analyzes the current situation of waste in China, and describes the ecological hazards caused by the import of waste;secondly, based on the availability of data,114 countries are selected from2010-2019 Research on the panel data of the year,by calculating the global Moran index and local Moran index of 114 countries, verified the spatial relevance of environmental regulations between countries;again, according to the LM test, choose to use the spatial measurement model or the hybrid OLS model, and finally determine It is a spatial measurement model, which is further determined by combining LR test and Wald test, and regression analysis is performed with spatial Dubin model SDM and spatial autoregressive model SAR;on this basis, the spatial model is determined in the adjacency matrix W1,the distance matrix W2,and the economic The regressions are successively expanded under the distance matrix W3,and it is concluded that(1)there is an inverted U-shaped curve relationship between environmental regulations and waste imports. When the environmental regulations reach the inflection point of the curve, the polluted paradise has shifted.(2)When there is competition in the intensity of national environmental regulations, the inflection point of the inverted "U" curve will change, that is,the spatial relevance of environmental regulations will promote or inhibit the transfer of polluting paradise. In addition, the empirical results also show that there is a positive correlation between the level of economic development and trade openness and waste imports, and there is a negative correlation between foreign direct investment and a country’s total assets and waste imports. The results of this study provide empirical evidence for the formulation of China’s environmental policy, have important policy implications, and help explain what factors affect the import of waste,it can provide some reference for the future waste trade import and the research of environmental policy. |
