Research On Construction Workers’ Adaptive Safety Training System

As an effective method to reduce the unsafe behavior of construction workers,safety training has always been the hotspot of safety management research.In recent years,while there is an ever-growing research interest on developing effective training techniques and methods,few studies have improved safety training from the perspective of the training object.Therefore,it is necessary to develop a safety training system centered on construction workers and provide personalized training services to solve the problems of weak training pertinence and poor experience.This paper designed and developed an adaptive safety training system for construction workers in order to improve their knowledge level and correct their unsafe behaviors.The main research contents include:(1)Based on the theory of adaptive learning and the general model of adaptive learning system,this paper proposed an adaptive safety training system model for construction workers,which guided the construction process of the system.(2)Through the analysis of the connotation and norms of the learner model,the construction dimension of the learner model was clarified.According to the characteristics of safety education for construction workers,and by means of system registration,scale test and training test,a learner model composed of six dimensions of basic information,job type,learning style,learning motivation,knowledge mastery level and role in the group was constructed,and it provided a basis for the system to push adaptive training content.(3)According to the construction code and the photos reflecting the actual situation,a list of unsafe behaviors of construction workers is formed.The vivid,interesting,easy to understand and memorize training questions were generated by using the photos of the construction site after manifestation,which improved the practicability of the training materials.The knowledge base of construction workers’ behavior safety was constituted by combining different types of training courseware and visualized training questions,which integrated the scattered resources into a logical knowledge system.(4)Based on previous research,the architecture and functional modules of the system were designed,the content-based recommendation algorithm and recommendation algorithm based on probability model of knowledge were used to realize the personalized push of the training courseware and the training questions respectively.Then,the preliminary development of the adaptive safety training system for construction workers was completed,and the main functions of the system was verified by users.The results showed that the adaptive security training system can intelligently push training courseware that met the user’s learning needs and training test questions that suited the user’s learning ability according to different characteristics of the user.Being compared with traditional safety training,the adaptive safety training system can achieve adaptability and personalization in the presentation and push of training materials by identifying the differentiated characteristics of construction workers,mining behavior data during safety training and using personalized recommendation techniques.The system helps workers find valuable training materials to them and truly improve quality and efficiency of safety training.The application of adaptive safety training system provides a feasible solution for the behavior improvement of heterogeneous workers in China’s construction industry and makes it possible for more effective safety management on site.
