Research On The Impact Of Dual Environmental Regulations On Enterprises’ Green Innovation

With the continuous development and progress of China’s economic level,environmental pollution has gradually become the focus of government and society’s attention.Reasonable double environmental regulation is a powerful measure to control pollution and protect the environment.Regardless of whether it is government-led formal environmental regulations or people-led informal environmental regulations,both play a greater role in restraining environmental issues.Green innovation activities are to create value on the basis of green development.Carrying out green innovation activities is the key to solving the problem between economic growth and environmental protection.Therefore,it is necessary to study and analyze the relationship between dual environmental regulations and green innovation.This article is based on China’s double environmental regulations and the status quo of green innovation and selects Baosteel Co.Ltd.,a large steel manufacturing company that the Ministry of Environmental Protection focuses on,as the case object.This article combines a variety of analytical methods with theoretical analysis and case analysis,and discusses in depth the impact of double environmental regulations on corporate green innovation.Theoretically relying on Porter hypothesis,Coase’s theorem and other theories to construct the impact mechanism of dual environmental regulations on corporate green innovation;in the case,with the help of double environmental regulations,the impact of formal and informal environmental regulations on corporate green innovation is studied separately.Comparative analysis of double environmental regulations.This paper concludes:(1)Formal environmental regulations have a positive effect on corporate green innovation;(2)Informal environmental regulations also have a positive effect on corporate green innovation;(3)Formal environmental regulations have a positive effect on corporate green innovation.The impact is stronger than informal environmental regulations in short time.By studying the impact of double environmental regulation on corporate green innovation,this article not only enriches the research scope of double environmental regulation and green innovation theoretically,but also has a certain reference significance for the development of green innovation and green industry transformation in China’s steel industry,and it also helps the improvement of China’s double environmental regulatory system.
