The heavy use of road transportation vehicles brings us convenient logistics,convenient travel,and low-cost life.At the same time,we should also see that some profiteers who are profitable and profitable,ignore the safety performance of motor vehicles and blindly increase the guardrail by widening 3.Thicken the steel plate of the chassis to achieve the purpose of transporting more goods at one time,which seriously threatens people’s lives and property safety.In order to curb the modified overweight and overloaded vehicles on the road from the source,it has become an effective means and measure to carry out regular and irregular inspections on the external dimensions of road transport vehicles.At present,the existing methods and methods of measuring the size of the external dimensions of motor vehicles cannot fully meet the detection requirements of modern motor vehicles.In this paper,by applying the principle of grating projection and the technique of 3D projection reconstruction to the field of motor vehicle outer dimension measurement,a vehicle outer dimension measurement system based on infrared grating three-dimensional projection is proposed.From the new perspective of grating projection measurement,the method for measuring the dimensions of motor vehicles was studied.Using multiple sets of high-speed infrared light curtains fixed on the sides,top and sides of the gantry frame,the motor vehicle was driven at low speed.Scan the outline size features,record the changes of high and low level signals when the direct infrared photoelectric sensor is blocked by the optical path,and obtain continuous measurement data of vehicle length,width,and height in three dimensions,and reconstruct the data in three dimensions to achieve The three-dimensional image reconstruction and three-dimensional contour drawing of the motor vehicle’s outline size were obtained,and the accurate data of the motor vehicle’s outline size was obtained.Through repeated tests on a variety of vehicle models,the measurement parameters and accuracy indicators of the measurement system can meet standards such as "Motor Vehicle Safety Technical Inspection Projects and Methods"(GB21861-2014)and other standards for measurement errors and accuracy of motor vehicle outline dimensions.Claim.The development of this measurement system will have important application significance for the measurement of the vehicle outline dimensions.
