Cost Analysis Of Environmental Impact Of Recycled Green Building Materials

In recent years,the construction industry,which needs to consume a large amount of building materials,has become more and more environmentally intensive.Among them,concrete,brick,glass and steel are the four main building materials that are consumed a lot.Building materials consume diesel and produce pollutants during transportation.Building materials consume natural resources,coal,oil and electricity and produce pollutants during production.With the acceleration of urbanization,China’s demand for building materials has rapidly increased,which leads to further deterioration of the environment.Therefore,it is extremely urgent to control the production of building materials and increase the production and use of recycled green building materials.In order to study the impact of the construction industry on the environment,this paper will introduce the environmental costs of the environment to monetize the environmental impact.The paper compares the environmental cost difference between building materials and recycled green building materials,and divide the environmental costs into re source consumption reduction costs,environmental degradation costs,environment governance costs and environmental protection costs.Resource consumption costs include the consumption of coal,oil and electricity;environmental degradation costs include degraded costs for human health losses and land occupation losses;environmental governance costs include using life cycle assessment methods to calculate the pollutants emission control costs of concrete,bricks,glass and steel bars under functional units;the environmental protection costs includes the cost of wages for environmental protection personnel.Taking Qingdao as an example,this paper calculates the environmental cost difference between using building materials and using recycled green building materials in Qingdao for the construction industry.The result is that the use of recycled green building materials for construction industry saves 132.3 million yuan.
