Study On The Impact Of Economic Growth On Environmental Quality Of Urban Agglomeration On The Northern Slope Of Tianshan Mountains

Protect the environment is the concept of "beautiful scenery and green hills".It is a general idea put forward by General Secretary Xi Jinping on the protection of the environment.As a high concentration area of economy,culture and science and technology in Xinjiang,the urban agglomerations on the northern slope of Tianshan Mountains are under more environmental pressure.In view of the impact of regional economic growth on environmental quality,a comprehensive index system of economic and environmental quality is established through regional overview,and the coupling coordination of regional economy and environmental quality is judged.Combined with EKC theoretical model,the research is carried out from the perspective of time and space,and reasonable countermeasures are given.Through the research,the following conclusions are drawn:(1)the economic development trend of urban agglomeration in the north slope of Tianshan Mountain is good,the GDP has increased nearly fourfold from 2004 to 2017,the proportion of tertiary industry has maintained more than 50% continuously,forming a development mode dominated by tertiary industry.(2)The environmental quality of urban agglomerations on the northern slope of Tianshan Mountain has been improved.Since 2014,the annual average emissions of industrial wastewater and industrial sulfur dioxide have declined by 11% and 26%,respectively.However,there is a problem of air quality decline.(3)During 2004-2017,the coupling coordination degree between regional economy and environmental quality can be divided into four stages.At present,the coupling coordination degree is 0.95,which is in the period of high-level coordinated development.(4)According to the results of EKC model,it is found that there is an anti "s" curve relationship between the economy and environmental quality of urban agglomeration on the northern slope of Tianshan Mountains,which can be generally divided into three stages: the period of economic constraint on the environment,the period of economic hindrance to the environment and the period of economic driving to the environment.Currently,it is in the transition stage from the second stage to the third stage,and then with the economic growth,the environmental quality will continue to rise 。(5)Through the study of the spatial relationship between the economy and environmental quality of urban agglomeration in the northern slope of Tianshan Mountain,it is found that:(1)there is a positive spatial autocorrelation in the economic development of each city,and most of the regions are high-level agglomeration with Urumqi as the core and low-level agglomeration with Shihezi as the core.(2)There is a negative spatial autocorrelation in the environmental quality of each city.Most of the areas are high-low agglomeration and low-high agglomeration.The two poles phenomenon of environmental quality in the adjacent areas is serious.(3)The results of spatial error model are similar to those of time series model.The level of urbanization has a negative effect on environmental quality.The increase of science and technology investment is conducive to the improvement of environmental quality.(6)The Countermeasures for the coordinated development of economic growth and environmental quality of urban agglomerations on the northern slope of Tianshan Mountain are as follows:(1)optimize the industrial structure.(2)Maintain pollution control.(3)Increase greening construction.(4)Improve the level of science and technology.
