| In recent years,China’s economic growth has been very rapid. However, the long-term extensive growth model has brought a series of problems to our country, such as wasted input factors, low economic efficiency, and serious environmental pollution.Especially in recent years, haze weather has frequently appeared, and scholars have been paying more and more attention to haze pollution. However, the existing literature is mostly from the perspective of economic growth, urbanization, industrial structure and so on to study the haze pollution, ignoring the impact of factor market distortion on environmental pollution in the process of factor market reform. At the same time,in the process of industrialization in China, large energy consumption and high pollution emissions have caused a bad impact on the environment. Therefore,it is important to explore the impact of energy factor price distortion on haze pollution.Based on panel data of 285 prefecture-level cities in China from 2003 to 2016,this thesis explores the impact of factor market distortion on haze pollution from the perspective of energy factors.First, the trans-log production function is used to measure the degree of energy factor distortion in each city, and the results show that the energy factor market distortion does exist in our country;and then, the influence of energy factor price distortion on haze pollution is quantitatively analyzed by using the panel-fixed effect model;then through a series of robust tests, the accuracy of the conclusions is verified. Finally, the mediating effect model is used to test the impact mechanism of energy factor price distortion on haze pollution, and policy recommendations are proposed.Through analysis, the following conclusions are drawn:(1)Energy factor price distortion has a significant positive impact on haze pollution.(2)The level of economic development and energy efficiency are significantly negatively correlated with haze pollution, foreign direct investment has increased haze pollution. However, the impact of urban public transportation on haze pollution is not obvious enough.(3)According to the regional regression, energy factor price distortion in the three regions has worsened the haze pollution level, and the influence in the western region is higher than that in the central and eastern regions, indicating that there are regional heterogeneity in the impact of energy factor price distortion on haze pollution. |
